I'm sure this has been covered before ad-nausea, but I can't find the answer. Where are the Auto-Save/Game-Save player progress files stored?
I've upgraded to a new gaming laptop (Win8, HD screen, nVidia graphics, all the bells & whistles), installed Freelancer, and upgraded to DF 4.86 (eagerly awaiting 4.87). All I want to do is copy my progress files over to my new rig from my older WinXP laptop (which will soldier on as my garage's internet access portal). It took me long enough to get where I'm at, and I just want to pick up where I left off.
I'm PC-savy, so just give me a clear path of what to copy over, so I can resume exploring until the next installment. Thank you in-advance!
You are speaking of single player or multiplayer?
If it`s about multiplayer you will need something like freelancer account manager, if you are referring to single player, the saves are in my documents.

Stupid-ME ... yes, I should've mentioned Single Player only.
I was gettin' ready to call you a LIAR! when I drilled down in the "My Documents" folder, saw the "Freelancer" folder (though I thought it would've been called Discovery Freelancer), snooped around, and saw files dated 'bout the last time I played DF 4.86 on my workhorse (i.e. fossil) laptop. You da man!
Now my next trick will be to get DF to play in 1920 x 1080 on my new laptop; suggestons?
Make a shortcut to the Disco executable, right-click, go to Properties->Shortcut and put -dx in the "Target" line, you'll get your screen's native resolution in the game.
