Something that's always bugged me a bit about these otherwise excellent vanilla models are the five engine exhaust FX's placement. If I remember things correctly, they weren't designed like that in the vanilla game, instead using only the middle rear engine exhaust port for the fx, so they must've been added at some point.
Was there an aesthetic reason behind this addition? My main gripe with this sort of FX placement is that the front engines' FX seem to be why part of the view in pilot view is obstructed, and that the ships themselves look a bit... odd, since not even the biggest battleships tend to use five (separate) engines for propulsion, making these light transports look, well, a tad under-engineered, IMHO.
I'm just looking for a heads-up, as this has sort of bugged me a bit ever since I first joined the server back in... .84 or .85, I think.
Hardly the most important topic, I know. Just checking if someone would humor me with the details. I'm mainly asking since I don't think those FX came with the models, and therefore must've been added for a reason.
