As title says, the process kills itself milliseconds after it's up. Need hjalp
DSAce gave me this: [Timestamp] Shutdown.
I deleted Freelancer folder from Documents/My Games, which didn't help.
And one more thing. The game stopped loading up once, and then it's still like this.

whats your system specs
when did it stop work, did you install anything/changing anything like, fire wall, security, etc etc
just saying "stopped working" doesnt help us people trying to help you
have you only just installed 4.87?
Asus N73S laptop
Intel Core i3 DualCore - 2310M: 2.1 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Win 7 Ultimate x64; DirectX 11
Graphics: nVidia GeForce GT 540M - 2GB
HDD 500 GB
Tell me if there's anything else you need.
When it stopped working (around 1 month ago), I didn't really change anything. It just refused to launch one day and that was it. Back then I had 4.86 installed.
So, yesterday I reinstalled whole stuff (clean install to Program Files then Disco installed created a new copy in Users/X/AppData/Local), yet the problem persisted. Something just blocks the process, no crash, no reporting available. It's just Freelancer.exe, not FLServer or fldirectip or anything else.
I don't recall to have a firewall, but I do have an AV: IOBit Malware Fighter. It never found my Freelancer.exe guilty of anything, neither it blocks the process from starting.

If I'm reading this right, then you're saying you changed the install path from default?
That might be the problem, try reinstalling to the default path.

also win7 sux more than win95
on the other hand, probably you did something before that bug appeared?
Maybe I did. I've done so many things since then that it's pointless to attempt to recall what I actually did?..
But why all other apps launch just fine, then?
And do you suggest to install Win Vista? 3.1? 8? nerp 8|

No. I did all by default. Problem is that ALL Freelancer.exe, both Disco and clean, simply don't work.
simply saying that win 7 sux (very bad spelling by the way) (btw i use win 7 , its superb, if you cant use it, just go buy a console its easy to use)
and his windows installation sux, is just pointless
and shows ignorance
ok back to the topic, step by step
1 uninstall freelancer (backing up your account/s, if you can)
2 find every trace of fl in your appsdata, anything in your "my documents, including any single player saves (back those up)
best way is to download a free trial of revo uninstaller, that prog uninstalls and finds all traces of installation, inc registry files, run that uninstall and ask it to "scan" for remaning traces, and delete what it finds
3 install a vanilla version of freelancer, dont install any mods
4 re-download 4.87 and let it choose all default directories
when thats done there should be a fold in your apps data (i.e. mine is C:\Users\x\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.87.0, use the freelancer exe in that folder
now my question is have you updated any graphics drivers recently?
when you run fl 4.87 it should auto update to the 2nd version
I actually had this problem for a short period of time. I left it a while and then tried running freelancer and it worked. That's what happend in my case at least :|.
Perhaps try closing some uneeded processes?
