My question is, can I request a rename from Admins if someone is abusing the name of my character?
Like I have an official LN named [LN]-This.Example, and someone creates a This.Example, also LN ID/IFF, but he uses it to harass people, like extorting money from traders, etc, thus tarnishing the name, causing problems to my official LN char, as people think we are the same player (or This.Example, and This,Example; with these names, 90% of players may think we are the same person). Or he can use the name to gain illicit access to a PoB.
In this case, can I file a 3.5 report, or a report for abuse/trolling? Or can I request a name change for the other guy from the Admins? If not, what can I do in this situation?
LN character extorting traders is a problem in and of itself. LN shouldn't even concern itself much with catching smugglers ('xept those hauling military goods), let alone lawful trade. If it's obvious trolling and your name isn't something generic like LN-John.Doe or something, I'd be in favor of a simple remove-from-game op.

Sorry, the LN was just an example, I'd like an answer in general. Does this stand for any other IDs, like the following situations (when there is no official faction, or I am not a member of one):
1st situation:
My char: Freelancer ID, Thomas.Whathisname
Trolling character: Freelancer ID, Thomas,Whathisname
The only difference is the dot/comma between the two names. The troll runs around doing unlawful stuff, so the police/navy hunts him. But they harass (not kill, just stop and interrogate every time) my character, too, because they suspect connection (based on the name). Thus the trolling guy causes me trouble with his name copying.
Can I ask for a rename in this situation?
2nd situation:
My char: Freelancer ID, Example, regged on a base
Trolling character: Freelancer ID, Example.2
The guy created this character to gain access to a base I have access to, but he does not (in this case my name acts as a tag, so he can gain access if he puts something after it), and he uses this access to steal something from the base. I do not want him to have access, but I don't want to rename my character.
As there is no name blacklist for bases yet, can I ask a rename for him in this situation?

Ok, thanks, the basic question was whether I can make a report at all, or not. I think the rule is the naming rule (3.5) that I have to mention in the report, right?
