Unfortunately I started replaying Discovery after a break during the month between the rollback and the beta announcement, as such, my ships went poof. I've searched the forum but haven't seen a query exactly like this one before that has been given a definitive answer.
I spent quite a bit of time exploring Sirius for my OS&C character, I was wondering if it would be permissable to use a camera ship to redo that exploration without having to spend the time dodging all the NPC's again which is quite frankly not an appealing task to do a second time. Then once explored change back to a RP ship.
Also, if allowed, what, if any ID would you want on it while it's in use?
Thanks.
I'd say use a recruit ID on the camera ship, which sort of protects you. Stay low level, and don't interact with anyone. It's going to be a boring, boring exploring grind though.

Thank you for the quick answer. Now all I have to do is hunt one of them down.
And yeah, probably will be a little boring. First time exploring was fun, despite spending most of my time dying to NPC's, random guard systems and minefields. If it was a completely new character/faction I'd do it again, after all, the RP would be different with a new char. It's just doing that with the same char within so short a time makes me cringe as I'm not a fan of fighting (read: is a terrible fighter) and I'd rather get back to the RPing again that I had just reached before I got rolled away.
