COMM ID:Recruit Adam M. Reid TARGET ID:Liberty Forces Reporting Centre SUBJECT:Several Cases ENCRYPTION:Low PRIORITY:Low
Recruit Adam Reid here, reporting a few interesting cases from my first patrol.
Case 1: No!
A freelancer apparently wanted to pass through Alaska and reach to Ellesmare, and the secondaries asked me if that's possible. Well, of course not.
Quote:[LNS]-Flash: Officer Adam [LN]-Adam.Reid: What's up? [LNS]-Flash: I have a Freelancer wanting to go to Ellsemer [LN]-Adam.Reid: No. Beasty: I will escort you Sir, but you must pay fine [LN]-Adam.Reid: The law is clear... no one passes through Alaska. [LNS]-Flash: LN says no [LN]-Adam.Reid: We are done here. Capt.Mathus: aw hell, grise fjord is going to be super mad.....i'll have to figure something else out
Case 2: Jumping Dreadnoughts
I've heard from systemwide comms that a Zoner Dreadnought is around Manhattan, and the 41st allowed it to stay. I immediately rushed to the scene and tried to solve the issue.
Quote:(SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: I repeat: Zoner Juggernaut Lux Eterna asking for permission to stay near Manhattan until we get a tanker and can move 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: this is 41st-LNS Carrier Command to Zoner Juggernaut 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: park your cap ship away from Manhattan - at baltimore [LN]-Adam.Reid: What the hell is this? (SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: We were already given permission from the 41st; just grabbing some H Fuel again and then we are off [LN]-Adam.Reid: Sir... You do NOT bring any kind of warship, especially a dreadnought, without the Primary's permission. [LN]-Adam.Reid: You stay and listen. (SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: We already have permission from the 41st; we are just here to get some H3 again and want to fly away right after that.
From what the Zoner was saying, their dreadnought used wrong coordinates and jumped directly to New York.
Quote:(SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: Instead of Omega 41, we ended up here. (SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: And have not enough fuel to jump away. (SolarR[CL]-Lux-Eterna: Thats why we had to enter; of course after asking the 41st for permission.
They wanted to leave through jumping again, though I was more inclined to make them move off our border first. However, I called for a higher ranked member of the Navy to decide on it, and soon Clark came. He allowed the Juggernaught to jump away. Afterwards we had a chat with 41st about how they really should be acting like.
Quote:[LN]-Jorzza.Clark,: 41st ships, let me remind you, you do not decide who is allowed within Liberty 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: Get over yourself, this arguement is pointless 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: and let me remind you - no offense - we take orders ONLY from David Hale 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: No Offense 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: and next time - kindly if u have issues with any of the 41st - keep it low profile [LN]-Jorzza.Clark,: No thats the [LN] dont overstep your bounds 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: Dont overstep yours 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: do not let outsiders see that LN have issues with other secondary fleets 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: thank you [LN]-Jorzza.Clark,: Any issue is because you overstep your jurisdiction. or are just plain non compliant 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: Jurisdiction? 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: we are Liberty Navy 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: LN primes or secondary 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: to anyone out of Liberty - we are one 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: make sure it stays that way - [LN]-Adam.Reid: Hell Khan... If you are Liberty Navy, please learn about the LAW. 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: Clark, i really dont care what you remind, were done here. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Next time, if you see a Battleship, you chase it AWAY, and if it doesn't go away, you SHOOT it down. [LN]-Jorzza.Clark,: 41st is apart of the secondary fleet. do not think you are otherwise, Clark Out/ 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: where is this LAW written to make fun out of another LN? 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: Not it isnt, check your facts [LN]-Adam.Reid: You read me, Khan? 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: we decide what to do and when to do 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: Adam, you talk to me, not my escort [LN]-Adam.Reid: No, you do what the Law tells you to. [LN]-Adam.Reid: You don't decide a thing. [LN]-Adam.Reid: You are a soldier, not government. [LN]-Jorzza.Clark,: Reid. Leave them be. 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: When i decided to raid rheinland, i decide to raid, you arent stopping that 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: sorry my friend - you are not my fleet commander and I dont take orders from you - you are a LN Pilot as I am 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: David Hale is our comander and after him - i take orders from 41st Omaha [LN]-Adam.Reid: Sir... No one gives orders to you, but you can't allow a Battleship to stay in Liberty. Okay? [LN]-Adam.Reid: Next time, PLEASE, don't do that. 41st|LNS-Nevada: Leam: We are aware, now were done here
Case 3: Adventerous Pirates
I found this nice pirate fella around Manhattan, who was trying to pirate people around there so bravely but idioticly. So I took it down. The ID of the ship was white.eclipse.
Case 4: Tricky Pirates
Later on, I was patrolling through the Trade Lanes and I found a Rogue Bomber, Ryner.Lute, disrupting the lanes. I tried to arrest the guy to take him to the Sugarland, and he complied... to a point.
Quote:[LN]-Adam.Reid: You again... Ryner.Lute: yes me again [LN]-Adam.Reid: Come here and let's have a chat. Ryner.Lute: just made 1 million credits (...) [LN]-Adam.Reid: Alright... Do you really want to serve your time in Sugarland? Ryner.Lute: how much time will it be? [LN]-Adam.Reid: I will escort you to Sugarland, and the court will decide what's your fine and the time you should serve. Ryner.Lute: Hmm fine fine [LN]-Adam.Reid: Move towards the Texas Jump Gate. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Cruise. Stay away from Badlands.
But he decided to make a run for it afterwards. I chased him, but he took refuge in a strange shaped rock with its guns pointed at me with the intention of burning my butt, so I cleared off.
Case 5: Manhattan is not a good place to make friends
Two hostiles were found around Manhattan, one being an Outcast Bomber named, Jose.Alvarez, the other a Hellfire Legionary, [HF]-William.Sweeney. I first took on the bomber and quickly terminated it, meanwhile the legionary was being engaged by a very inexperienced naval pilot of the secondaries. I decided to take the secondary's place and engaged Sweeney myself. Even though my Executioner is not suited for taking on these guys, already tired and a little bit damaged pilot of the Legion was soon bested.
Case 6: I would fly more if I could
I've seen Rudvig Stark from the primaries chatting and chasing an Order agent through New York immediately afterwards, and decided to join in. After a while, it became apparent that the Order agent wouldn't leave without an engagement. So we decided that I should engage him.
Quote:Order|-Shade.99: I meant the fact you don't understand in general. Order|-Shade.99: Of what is really going on. [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: Really, enlighten us. [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: With your "greater" knowledge. Order|-Shade.99: If you are clever. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Not while we are on duty, sir. [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: I say we get this one out of here, by force. [LN]-Adam.Reid: IF he wants to chat, we gather around in Freeport sometime and talk. Order|-Shade.99: So you are automatically switching to "dumb" mode when on duty? [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: And you switch to insult mode when you're flying? [LN]-Adam.Reid: Yes, I will not risk anything while I am duty, and certainly I am NOT your friend. [color=#FFCCFF][LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: This guy clearly wants a fight. Order|-Shade.99: It's pretty easy...look. Order|-Shade.99: I am the so called terrorist. Order|-Shade.99: You are the hand of the gouvernment. Order|-Shade.99: THe right one. Order|-Shade.99: That is abused for it's power. Order|-Shade.99: The muscles are working...but lead by the brain. [LN]-Adam.Reid: You are in my place, agent... and I don't want you here. Order|-Shade.99: And the brain doesn't want to tell you anything. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Am I supposed to make it more clear with the tint of your blood? [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: What do you think, Mr. Reid, get rid of him? [LN]-Adam.Reid: I will deal with you now.
However, the enemy Order Agent was skillful and better equipped than me, so it became obvious that I would be losing. I decided to continue anyways, to pick up some maneuvers and show them the relentless courage of our Naval pilots. Besides, my Executioner would be scrapped with the damage I took.
Quote:[LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: That's not looking too good, pull out Mr. Reid, I'll cover ya. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Get my pod. Order|-Shade.99: Give up pilot. Order|-Shade.99: I let you go. [LN]-Adam.Reid: No way. Death: [LN]-Adam.Reid was killed by Order|-Shade.99 (Wasp/Hornet)
I launched the pod in time and I was safe. Stark took my pod and dropped it in the West Point Academy. I heard from him that he let the Agent slip away afterwards.
Quote:[LN]-Adam.Reid: Alright... I am safe in my pod... *grins* get me outta here! [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: Yer out, don't worry! [LN]-Adam.Reid: Was a nice fight, what happened to the guy? [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: I let him go. [LN]-Rudwig.Stark.: It was a nice fight. [LN]-Adam.Reid: Indeed it was.
I want to finish my reports with this epic piece, showing the bravery our secondaries, instilling fear into the hearts of our enemies. I am sure the Agent got what it was coming to him.
Quote:41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: oh man - why doesnt the red people understand the word STAY OUT OF LIBERTY 41st|LNS-Hell_Khan: order ship shade.99 -move out of NY asap
I've got 4 hours down, 4 to go. Recruit Adam Reid, signing off.
