COMM ID: [color=#99FFFF]Lieutenant Commander Jane Hartman TARGET ID:Liberty Forces Reporting Centre SUBJECT:Belated Reports. ENCRYPTION:Low PRIORITY:Low
Sirs, Ma'ams.
[color=#CCCCCC]Hartman here, got a bit to catch up on.
Long range scanners in Texas pinged a Rheinland Battleship, callsign DS}Furchterliche. Captain Polstari assembled a task force to counter it [See Patrol summary] and we RV'd at the New York --> Texas Gate, Texas side. All units engaged the Battleship, which jumped for home when its Captain lost his nerve. From what I've seen, that same ship later jumped back to New York and was destroyed. While our bombers were attacking the Warship a Hacker fighter joined the fight and opened up on my Upholder. Thanks to the efforts of the [LN]-LNF-Fun.Fields it wasn't enough to halt our forces, and the Hacker broke off as soon as the Rheinlanders jumped.
Fighter units on Norfolk received a general alert; courtesy of the Captain of the LNS-Potomac, reportin' a nice family gathering by the Xenos in Colorado. Potomac reported three hostile snubcraft; two Warren bombers and an unknown Very Heavy Fighter. Knowing the Xenos, I'd bet on it being an Eagle. Based on the gunboat's report, I called up a task force to deal with the ships. Unfortunately, we were too late to the Potomac, and we lost contact with the gunboat shortly after the initial report.
The arrival of Naval forces in Colorado did the trick, and the Xenos broke away from the lane. Last sighting by Pueblo's scanners had them jumping out of the star system. Our forces conducted a final sweep of the lane to ensure it was clear. Task Force Ravenswood was disbanded shortly after loss of contact was confirmed.

Ain't strictly a patrol, but I've received reports that the Naval fighter Aakopa initiated a series of unprovoked attacks against civilian and military targets. The pilot didn't respond to communications of any sort, 'cept for fleeing. On those grounds, I gave the all-clear for our ships to bring the rogue down, for questioning. Last report had Aakopa fleeing into the asteroid fields in California.
With that issue dealt with, I shipped out on the Little.Rock to assist in training the crew of the Siege Cruiser, Sir.String.
While hauling supplies between Fort Bush and Norfolk Shipyard, the LLS-Clearwater came under attack by a trio of pirate fighters, with an additional fighter engaged by bounty hunter forces. Clearwater returned fire and set a course for Norfolk. The pirates focused fire and just about tore through the ship.
Consider this field-confirmation that the new armour upgrades work, because I ain't volunteering to test them a second time.
It wasn't the most comfortable situation I've been in. It was damn lucky that Junior Lieutenant Teerin arrived when he did, and was able to distract the hostiles for long enough for us to make it in.
