Greetings, sirs.
[color=#FFFFFF]Subject:Fallschirmjager
I was called in to deal with this Red Hessian gunboat who wanted to speak to a Primary Fleet officer a few days ago. He was here to relay some information on Rheinland installations that he claimed the Red Hessians were recently aware of. Curious to the possibility of new modular constructions, I let him speak his piece, noting that we were aware of the rebuilding of Krupp Munitions. This is where I began to doubt the reliability of his information, as he claimed that it was no longer present, which I can guarantee is false due to ***REDACTED*** and ***REDACTED*** being involved in a recent hit-and-run on it. He made mention of a shipyard in the Frankfurt system, located within the Westerwald cloud that only snubs could reach due to minefields. Cross-checking LSF data indicates we may already now about this, but it's hard to tell He additionally mentioned a base in Hamburg that made weapons for warships, but provided no details. I was not able cross-check anything due to the lack of provided information. The last part that made me really suspect this as either a false flag operation by Rheinland either to out Hessian sympathizers or our own intelligence agents was his claim of Rheinland building a super-weapon "Sunslayer" torpedo. Supposedly at 40% completion after billions of unaccounted for credits spent on it, this device is scheduled be tested on the sun at the center of the New York system in a year. I am credulous to this claim for obvious reasons, most notably the stated power(only 200 times that of a Heavy Mortar) seems incapable of affecting a solar body to any degree. I would urge caution in investigating any claims presented by this Hessian, but offer my report as a matter of course. After our discussion I bade him farewell and ordered him out of Liberty space, to which he complied. Any further intrusion by this vessel is to be dealt with on a case-by-base basis.
I was also contacted by this gentleman at the same time claiming business on behalf of the Council. Mr. Sauvageon was responding with respect to a message sent from the ***REDACTED*** recently discussing possible increase of Gallic Royal Navy operations in Liberty, as wel as a request to the Council for aid to halt these probes. He reports that their command in Roussillon has lost contact with their forces in Champagne at this time, and while he seriously doubts that the system has been lost, nothing has been received from there for the past three weeks. He regrets to inform us, unofficially, that we can expect at most only a token force at this time while their command looks to deal with getting back in touch with Champagne. He also believes that the ***REDACTED*** is being actively searched for, in a discreet manner, by the Royalists at this time, and that we can expect even more probes by them as they seek to find evidence of it in Liberty. He also requested information about granting access to a Council capital vessel, to which I told him to inquire with the Secretary of Defense Robert McKay. He also mentioned in passing rumors of Rheinland and Gallia working to establish trade links. If so, this presents a danger we must investigate and remove at once. Additional resources routed to Rheinland will only make our efforts there more difficult, and any ties made to Gallia will only add complications with our relations to other houses. Unfortunately I didn't detect the tag of an official responder, so I'm not entirely certain as to the veracity of the statements give here either. I'm hoping that we will hear one way or another from official sources shortly.
