COMM ID:ENS MCCOY, R. TARGET ID: Liberty Navy Reporting Center SUBJECT: PR 04/28/823 ENCRYPTION:LOW PRIORITY:LOW
This is Ensign Ray McCoy,
04/28/823 - P1
I've undocked from Manhattan to start my shift and scan the assigned patrol route as planned. But I did not have to wait a lot before my scanners picked up an Order IFF Gunboat in close range.
I cruised up to the bandit and disrupted it, asked why he is where he is. His reply was that he had to go to Bretonia, and ignored my further demands to stop. Upon second disruption of his cruise, he started the engagement and I had to respond in kind.
Though my armament was incapable of taking down a gunboat, I had help from a secondary fleet gunboat who happened to be close. It didn't take long before we took down the bogey.

After a few rounds of patrolling around New York, I came upon another potential threat by Manhattan. It was an outcast heavy fighter, surrounded at first by a couple of LPI.
The LPI said they needed coffee and left the vicinity when I arrived in the scene. Apparently they had a chat, but could not bring it to a conclusion. So I picked up where they left off.
The outcast appeared peaceful, but appearences are quite misleading, so there'd be no way I'd trust the pilot one bit. The brief interrogation yielded that he's around to scan for something called nomads. But I bet the trading traffic was more worthwhile to scan for a pirate like his kind.
And nomads? Sheesh. They think they'll fool an officer with tales from children books.
In the end, I had to escort the pilot out of Liberty under a hail of fire. He was made aware that his second appearence in Liberty would result in a much more lethal action.
The last of my route led me to Detroit Munitions, where I didn't meet anybody.
