COMM ID:Lieutenant Albey, Kate TARGET ID:Liberty Navy Command SUBJECT:Combat Report ENCRYPTION:Low PRIORITY:Medium
Greetings Command,
Hm. A promotion. Some good news after this day, which was.. like the circus came to town. First off, a smuggler to start the patrol. Handler, Harald.Harring, carrying Artifacts and Cardamine. Curious mix. Surrendered on the spot, and was rightfully nervous. The cargo was destroyed on the site of interdiction and Mr. Harring was escorted to Manhattan and arrested by the LGF Security Force on landing. Pending trial last I heard.
Then, intel arrived and warned about two pirates, up to no good in the West Point-Norfolk trade lane. As first on the scene, I fount the two pirates shooting a lonesome freelancer gunboat. Handlers, ~The-Second-Amendement~ and Consequence. Support arrived in the form of Fleet Admiral Jones and John Armada from the fifth. Didn't had time to salute. Sorry. As it progressed on, their support arrived. And it figures, where there are snubs to shoot, it's there. The running man, LRD-"A_Liberty_Tragedy". The pressure was onto us and Armada bought the farm, and not soon after, Commander John Mayer of the First arrived on the scene. Didn't had time to salute either. Sorry again. His L-117 became scrap not soon after. Finally capital reinforcements arrived in the form of the carrier LNS-Chattahoochee, and the Tragedy man did what he did best. Became the Running man and skipped out the scene.
The bombers tucked tail and cloaked their behinds before we could say 'Pew'. And even before we could dock, more issues appeared again near Norfolk. This time, we had LPI support by Morten Helberg. The Chattahoochee engaged the Tragedy again and the bombers, now repaired, showed up again. A hunter bought the farm but also one of the new unlawful reinforcements. I proceeded to the site and engaged as well with Tragedy running again, limp and almost broke. We gave pursuit and off into the Badlands we went. A bounty hunter and a freelancer came as well and basically all hell broke lose. Confusion aside, I lit Consequence's behind on fire. In the end, however, it was me against an outcast snub, handler Soprano, one of two original cloaking bombers and another freelancer turned pirate and the Tragedy. The rest of the lawful forces were scrapped to kingdom come.
All in all, a big fracking sh**storm for little ol' me in the middle of the badlands. But, Liberty is eternal. And Liberty never gives up. The Plymouth Rock from the First and the Odyssey from the 5th, went in cloaked and silent. Managing to get in position they broke the Tragedy in half with a surprise attack. Poor sucker didn't saw it coming. As I turned back to give support to the capitals against the snub cloud, I was pinned by the remaining original cloaked bomber. And gave him food for thought. Or anti-matter. Maybe both.
In the end, we cleaned house. But we lost one too many in the process. And I returned with my L-117 half busted but still flying.
Without anything further to add,
Lieutenant Kate Albey
