[SUBJECT]: After-Action Report for July 6th, 824 A.S.
[PRIORITY]: Beta - Low
[ENCRYPTION]: Beta - Low
Hello, Primary Fleet Command.
Captain Kingston had recieved word from a Fifth Fleet battlegroup of a duo of Valors that had been detected in Magellan. The aging Fifth Fleet battleship L.N.S. Omaha, alongside Fifth Fleet Lieutenant Commander Nicole Prower and Primary Fleet Lieutenant Daniel Redding, had done significant damage to one warship, the battleship R.N.S. Illustre, but were unable to prevent it's retreat, leaving the sole Gallic Royal warship R.N.S. Vengeance along at the hands of the bomber pilots.
Liberty Battlecruiser L.N.S. South Dakota, commanded by myself and Executive Officer Bryan Wilks, proceeded towards the engagement zone, where the sole remaining warship and the two pilots were locked in combat. South Dakota proceeded on into the fray, opening up with her primary battery and long range missile support systems. While the firepower was enough to severely damage the Vengeance, it was not enough to prevent Lieutenant Commander Prower's vessel from being shot down. Her pod was recovered and the fight continued on.
Report came in of an incoming Royalist heavy fighter, one piloted by a tagged entity identified as 'Liam O'Malley'. The vessel intercepted Lieutenant Redding, causing heavy damage to his vessel and eventually putting him out of commission, but not before the R.N.S. Vengeance, having been put under tremendous gunfire from the South Dakota, her hull giving way, fell in battle. The South Dakota, with the pods of both navy pilots and some survivors from the Vengeance, then returned to California for repairs and rearmament.
We are awaiting the next deployment command.
Best regards,
Commander Holston Langley, Liberty Navy First Fleet.
