Lt. Cmdr. Redding reporting in,
This report will seem awefully similar to Ensign Tarathyn's report. Essentially, we got word that there was a build up of Unioner forces in Bering, it seems that the 6th Fleet was already deployed but underequipped to deal with the threat which included a force of 2 battleships, 1 cruiser and several fighter escorts parked at the Texas jumpgate at Bering. Upon arriving at Bering I had immediately taken fire, however there were friendlies from the Forlorn Hope PMC nearby who had arranged for a nuclear device, a NEMP to be deployed on scene.
Approximately 20 minutes later, we deployed the NEMP, destroyed the cruiser and all the fighter escort, nearly 60% of the enemy forces. Enemy battleships were heavily damaged and were in retreated and additional 1st Fleet bomber squadrons had also arrived. We then spent the better part of the day mopping the system up of Unioner & Battlegroup Harmony's forces at Freeport 2. After inflicting enough enemy casualties, they had retreated and docked with the Freeport. Unfortunately, due to heavy defences around the area and the fact that we were low on ammo and badly knocked up, our forces called it a day and returned to Texas for debriefing.
Sincerely, Lt. Commander Daniel Redding, 1st Fleet, [LN]
