I'd like to inform command that I have returned to active duty status. Just landed back at the Naval Station on Manhattan after an emergency sortie. Signals intel detected a large formation of rogue and hacker units converging upon the New York system so we spent about an hour or so conducting reconnaissance throughout New York while the fleet assembled at Manhattan. Eventually, we detected them speed towards Manhattan and engaged and eliminated all hostiles.
***TACTICAL ANALYSIS***
Fortunately, we heavily outgunned hostile forces and their force composition was broken, relying on too many underclassed destroyers and only bringing 1 bomber. Furthermore, we had plenty of fighter escorts so the LSF ordered us to cover their snubcraft while they took out the destroyers before assisting us with the snubcraft. Their pilots were skilled but we had plenty of battleship cover to fall back on. Additionally, the battleships were specifically fitted to deal with snubcraft so the weapons choice was excellent for force application purposes. Finally, some of their snubcraft fled into the fields but we managed to gather a group of our own fighters and destroyers to finish them off. During this time the computers recorded that I made a kill but this was done with heavy assistance from all friendly units involved.
