As I started my patrol, I received an emergency transmission from Lt. Commander Sawyer and Admiral Ayato from the 5th Fleet, that a massive group of Lane Hackers were spotted in New York.
I proceeded to join the formation at Norfolk Shipyard. As we were moving to West Point Academy, we saw a lot of signatures near the Badlands.
Each side was evaluating the potential of the ennemy, and when every ship was in position, again from each side, the battle began.
I had never seen a fight being so quickly dealt with. Every Navy ship was doing its job perfectly, whether it was to distract the ennemy from its primary target or to deal critical damage their ships.
Each vessel, Lane Hackers', Outcasts' or Separatists', was put down. And none within our ranks. Some Rogues tried to rescue them, but they taken care of aswell.
After this fight, every Navy pilot and crew attended their debriefing where they were supposed to do so, but as I arrived at Battleship Missouri, scans showed a target we already encountered in Liberty space.
Again, a Kusarian agent from Kempetai, Sooshi, was flying within our space, inside New York itself. I tried to catch him, but as I was taking the trade lane to Fort Bush, he disrupted it before taking another one, and hid somewhere in New York.
I couldn't tell if it was near Rochester or if he just left the system, but in the end, I couldn't catch him.
I got back to report this to Lt. Commander Sawyer, and got back to West Point to attend my own debriefing.
I was in Syracuse Station to deal with the Xenos attacking it without giving it some slack, and encountered a Freelancer there.
I scanned his ship, because his presence here, while the Xenos were attacking, was suspicious. And I did well.
In its scan, there was multiple IDs: Freelancer ID, Liberty Police ID, and a Liberty Rogue ID.
I told him to stop, as he was trying to leave by the trade lane. Next thing I know is that my shields are down.
I intended to protect myself, and almost got him, when the man made the huge mistake to attack one of the weapon platform near the trade lane.
His hull breached almost instantly, and was taken to Syracuse, awaiting for the Liberty Police to come and take him to custody.
After my break on West Point, I proceeded to take the trade lane to Norfolk Shipyard.
Before I took it, my long range scan spotted two hostile vessels, which turned out to be Outcast bombers.
I immediately chased them, and they proposed to run away, as they were only "exploring this system". It didn't sound really trust-worthy.
A Navy independant pilot came to assist me in my task, Dominique Lee.
Together, we put those bombers down quite fast, the last shots given by my wingman.
I joined him in his flight to Planet Houston, Texas, and refilled my ammunition there.
I was out of Planet Houston for only a couple of minutes when the system broadcast channel transmitted a message from Genocide Jill, calling for a fight.
As I didn't actually know her position, I just replied that such transmission weren't allowed in the system broadcast channel. To what she replied: "New York gates. Right now. Your head will be my prize".
I immediately took the trade lane to New York Jump Gate, where she was standing still.
I didn't have the time to tell her to turn off her thrusters, that she took down my shield. The fight had already started.
After a few minutes, the Rogue launched a mine. I knew I couldn't avoid it, and, as I was out of nanobots, that my ship would be down.
I instantly rushed into her vessel. The collision stopped her, and the mine hit us both, taking us both down.
We both survived. A Rogue ship passing by took her in its cargo, leaving me there to be killed by the empty space.
Good God, a Navy ship passed by as they were long gone. The officer left me to Battleship Missouri, where I'm currently awaiting instructions.
