Today's patrol began with a bang. Or many very loud gunshots over the New York sysCOMM channel. The independant trade ship, Heavy.Metal.Queen was broadcasting a very horifying message.
Gunshots, screaming, and the sounds of chaos were heard from her ship. Shortly thereafter, and emergency beacon went off above Manhattan, and i rushed to investigate. The Heavy.Metal.Queen was dead in space above Manhattan, and her captain was reporting that their load of pisoners had somehow escaped the big of her ship, and they were taking over the vessel. The captain managed to gather 86 of her 100 crew in a lifeboat and abandoned the ship.
A friendly trader, Daniel.Riviera was kind enough to pick up the survivors and his ship's doctor treated them for many wounds, including blunt force trauma, gunshot, and knife wounds. They were all taken to Manhattan for further medical treatment and debriefing by Navy staff.
On board the vessel, however, things were much worse. I hailed the ship, requesting them to accept a tow to Fort Bush, where things could be better sorted out, but they denied my request and then proceeded to ask for pardons for all of their crimes, and release from Liberty space. I tried to negotiate as best as i could, but my skills do not lie there. I offered them to either surrender or die. Their comms went dead a moment later.
After some tense moments, a young man came on the comms and requested that they be allowed to surrender, saying that the man who was leading them was dead. Apparently, the other prisoners didnt like the idea of dying in the cold of space. I towed the ship to Fort Bush, and turned the theives and prisoners in to LPI custody, where they are now awaiting booking and trial.
The ship was returned to her captain, and everything was clear for a while.
I was scanning all nearby ships when i picked up XT-47 in a prison liner, with a generic pirate ID and no IFF tag. He was carrying a Nomad Thruster, which i asked him to drop (//PMed him that he may dock to remove it) or leave liberty space.
He began to reply in a very suspicious manner, and i believe he may be infected. My reason for think that is because he kept referring to "the light" and that i could not truely "see". I ordered him to drop it or leave, or face destruction, but instead he Fled into Zone 21, and went through the gate into Alaska.
Ion storms were forecast in the area, so i advised everyone in New York to dock, and shutdown their ship's computers. I am writing this now on my datapad in my quarters on the Missouri, while waiting out this storm.
Thank you, fly safe

//And i am trying to set up a google sites page for the Liberty Navy, so that we can have a place that has all of the UP TO DATE laws and rosters, along with any other information we need (RP, standings, the works). If a high command (or any command, for that matter) could please contact me via Forum PM, it would be greatly appreciated. I have found too many times where i do not know someone elses rank (or even my own, for that matter) because there is very little centralization to our information.
