Today numerous terrorists invaded New York, hell-bent on destruction and terror. On board the Nevada, battle-stations were called and we fueled for immediate departure. Before we even left Norfolk, two Battlecrusiers had gone down to the might of the armada. Until other re-enforcements could arrive, the Nevada was left to defend the entire of New York alone. Knowing we couldn't possibly defeat the invaders, Commodore Stevenson decided to stay "off the radar" and pick up pods with survivors.
After picking up all known survivors, the Nevada set course for Manhatten and found an astonishing sight: A Lane Hacker Spyglass "Libertine", an Osiris-class Battleship "Hellbound", an unknown cruiser-class "Mon'Star", all protected by a score of skilled fighters and bombers. After some time, the Libertine disappeared off sensors, leaving the fearsome Hellbound and Mon'Star remaining.
We then received an emergency mayday at West Point from a battlecruiser, callsign LNS-Calypso. Immediately we took off towards the battle and engaged both enemy targets. The Hellbound's hull was waining and a mortar ripped through, decimating the strickened vessel. Moments after, the Calypso was blown apart. Fortunately, we were there to tractor in the escape pods.
Now all the was left was the Mon'Star...
Just as Commodore Stevenson ordered the turrets to target the doomed vessel, an ion storm hit quick and fast, leaving all ships in the area completely blind. Once the ion storm receded, the Mon'Star had disappeared.
Its gone...but not forever. Today we mourn the loss of the men and women who gave their lives defending against this onslaught.
