Well, today was a painful day. We recieved a distress call from Texas, informing us that a Rhienland fleet was formed in Bering. Without hesitation, the San Francisco was launched.
I tagged along with Captain Kellis, as my bomber is currently getting refitted, and the Phoenix was back in California.
Anyway, we jumped through the gate to find the Rhienland Battleship "Prometheus", flanked by 2 cruisers.
We engaged, but were quickly targeted, and tried to provide cover for the Battlecruisers jumping in, allowing more ships to arrive. The end came all to quickly.
Under the destructive power of all of the turrets, Sylar ordered his tech officer to link the San Franciscos power core and engine to the nearby Jump Gate and to perform an emrgency subspace jump back to Texas.
The San Francisco, damaged as she was, did not do well in the jump. We were catapulted into Texas at a huge speed, engines immediatly died, and we were sent catapulting through the system.
Sylar was hit by a piece of debris breaking loose from the ceiling, and I quickly ordered for the atmospheric thrusters to be used to slow us down. It worked, thankfully, but everything was offline. Life support, engines, weapons, everything.
We put out a mayday, and thankfully the returning men from the battle heard our call, and diverted to pick up the escape pods: I had ordered everyone to evacuate a short time before, as we were running low on air.
Myself and the 4 other bridge crew managed to limp the San Francisco all the way to Zone 21, where we docked with Juneau for repairs. The San Francisco should be operational again soon.
One last thing though, for his bravery and his quick thinking aiding us in our hour of need, I would like to suggest Jake Ryans for promotion, as his actions reflected those of someone beyond the rank of Ensign.
Captain Sylar Kellis is recovering in hospital, and should make a full recovery.
