This report is for the supplementary of Commander Backus's report.
During our rendevous, we found RNC Attempt Executer in a gunboat trying to bomb Manhattan. He claimed
that his ship was filled with explosives, however the Lexington quickly took him out in Manhattan orbit.
With the sensors picking up several Rheinland warships in Hamburg, we began mobilizing our ships and rendevousing at Houston. With some of the Rheinlanders breaking off into Hudson, we moved into the system finding 1 cruiser and a fighter. We were told to break off and destroy the fighter- [RSS]cpt.Rommel in a wraith. With the fighter destroyed, we deployed our fleet around the Hamburg jumpgate. A few moments later, a Rheinland cruiser jumped in, and was quickly destroyed due to our entrapment formation.
Our fleet quickly jumped into Hamburg, finding small resistance from the local patrols from the Military. With them dispatched, we moved into open regions of space, hoping to steer clear from the reported battleship that is stationed near Planet Kiel.
screened the remainder of the fleet while the Commander of the Allegiance talked about treaties being signed. Met with vulgar comments from the seeder people from Rheinland, our engagement began with our fighters duking it our with their fighters.
During the fight, the Retribution took heavy fire from the battleships that arrived and her crew was forced to abandon ship. Soon, the Allegiance followed suit and the crew was also forced to abandon ship. I took command of the situation and began concentrating fire on several bombers and capital ships.
Eventually, the 2 bombers, Kapinos and Young and with the gunboat [NGS]Bristol Bay arrived with a gunboat to help finish off the battleship Gneisenau and the gunboat Kaiser that was still left. Also, Recruit Jadin Larsen and [NGS]Bobford Smithton scored kills that were recorded from my guncam.
With all capital ships out of the fight, our fighters and bombers were almost finishing off the remainder of the Rheinland Military until several Volksfront ships arrived to reinforce their force. With that, I ordered a retreat. Jadin Larsen and Alexander Casero in my cargo hold, Joe Young, [NGS]Bobford Smithton, Marcellus Wallace, Viktor Navorski, and I jumped out of Hamburg and lifted the raid.
I would like to second Commander Backus's comment. Our force followed orders that were given on the battlefield which allowed us to destroy most if not all capital ships, and much of their fighters. It was an honor and privledge to work with such fine officers. I have learned much from the commanding officers present along the command opportunity. With each battle, hopefully we can better ourselves for the remainder of the war.
