Greetings, High command. Today was a rather eventful day. From the first skirmish to the second, The Liberty Forces had been engaged by Pirates and marauding Rhienland capital ships. The Kill-Cam worked in perfect order, taking high quality images of every kill.
First Skirmish, New York System, Enemies- Liberty Pirates. The emergency comms brought up a message that multiple pirates were seen engaging outside Manhatten. Proceeding to provide Admiral Hale and the others with help, i moved out from Fort Bush toward Manhatten. All gunners were focussing on the Polaris, which was soaking up supernova after supernova, but i witnessed the pirate bombers engaging the admiral, and others. Leaving the others to continually punish the Polaris, i focussed on the LR pirate first, who i took out in the first pass, while he turned to face me:
The Alleigance was taken out by Saronsen, but thankfully the crew managed to escape:
The next to go was Polaris, who ate a supernova from me:
George bush decided to engage our capital ships, so while the other bombers concentrated on the other gunboat, i decimated his shield and hull rapidly, finishing him off with a supernova shot to the hull:
While the Onboard camera did not distinguish the kill correctly, McTavish landed the final hit on the hull of the other gunboat, destroying it:
In this time, we had a serious situation on our hands. While we were busy fighting the gunships, we did not realise a Spyglass haad entered the battle, costing us Everson's ship:
Having caught his pod, i gave the order to blast a hole in the Libertine. An unknown civilian according to reports state his ship was destroyed by the guns of the libertine, perhaps crossfire:
rather randomly, Saronson's ship exploded. For the first few seconds i did not realise the cause, until i saw the distinctive smoke trails of the Nova Torpedoes, which exploded in his proximity while he was shieldless. For a Lane Hacker, that was a rather daft move, i must say:
Alas, our next loss was a Liberty gunship that came just too close to the Libertine's guns:
Finally, after taking repeated hits on the hull, the Libertine crumbled. The captain ordered everyone to evacuate the ship before it exploded, and while most of the crew managed to escape, I Picked up a Lane Hacker Battleship Turret, which i in turn sent to Norfolk Shipyards for analysis. Kill-cam showing the Libertine's Explosion:
With the great thread taken care of, finally only 1 fighter remained. everyone present targetted him and started engaging him, when i was asked to move to Fort Bush. Doing as ordered, Me and Liquid saw an outcast in a crow, who challenged Liquid to a duel. In that time, The others killed off the final sabre:
After switching to his fighter, Liquid proceeded to engage the pirate, while i prepare the fleet for the second Skirmish.
Second Skirmish, Texas System, Enemies- Rhienland capital ship battlegroup.
while all the fleet assembled at houston, i scouted out the Bering Jumpgate. Hardly surprising to see 3 Rhienland battleships, a gunship, a wraith, and a superbomber nearby. Returning to the fleet, i saw the gunship come close, as a scout. Quickly ordering the bomber wing to follow me, we engaged and destroyed the gunship before re-inforcements came. The kill-cam went haywire once again, registering the kill to one Wolfman, instead of me:
Tactics helped us win the battle. First wave destroyed the battleship shields, second wave ravaged the hull. The bombers were the first wave, taking out the Valhalla's shielding systems clear for the Dreadnoughts to fire their heavy mortars at the hull. soon enough, it was taken out:
The Rhienlanders tricked us, for a second. They only came with 2 battleships first, the third came afterward. Regardless, We only lost the Durango, while all the Rhienland battleships were decimated, alongside the superbomber. The Wraith pilot fled rightly so:
With that, ends my report. The Durango is currently in drydock, recieving urgent repairs to its hull and shielding systems, but it should be up and running soon enough.
