Today was quite a day.
When I made my way to New York from Ontario I was allerted by some civilians that there were several Phantoms rampaging about. And speaking off the devel when I came up on the Colorado gate I was welcomed by a mere: "Today is a good day to die, don't you think Tom Preager ?" and was promptly disrupted. As I was outnumbered 4 to 1 and the phantoms are vicious pilots I made a run for the New York gate and managed to get away without even being shot.
In New York I joined forces with more Liberty Navy and LSF personel to group for dealing with the Phantom threat. After some cat and mouse games they were pinned down at the California jump gate. Several people were already in fight as I joined the fray. In the intense firefight that followed we forced the Phantoms to retreat and even shooting one of them down.
When the Phantom threat was solved and it was relatively peacefull again I got permission to change to a Guardian very heavy fighter, which is I daresay the finest ship I ever used.
After some practice with my new Guardian in conneticut we received word of a Rheinland threat in the Texas system. It had already advanced to aproximately 20 K from Houston and had to be stopped.
Although the heavily armored Rheinland Battleship put up quite a fight it was no match to the combined fire of our forces. The two assault cruisers' forward guns made short work of the ship and combined with the antimatter cannons from the bombers the battleship soon fell with next to no damage to our own ships.
After the next great threat to our free nation was nullified we gathered for more training in the Conneticut system which lasted for hours and was a great way to get used to my brand new ship.
Tom Preager out.
