Attack Group South;
Earlier today, Attack Group South (from here on reffered to as the AGS) was temporarily formed as a show of force to deter pirate activities in Liberty and show everyone that we are not a force to be messed with in any shape or form.
We were greeted by a pleasantly clear California system, minus the harrassment I recieved from a woman named Blue, captain of the Blue Raven and other assorted craft. This continued as AGS returned to New York...
Anyway, cutting to the chase, AGS was deployed on top of a squadron of enemy bombers in New York, which immediately took heavy damage from the Solaris batteries of the Maryland. The battlerazor gunners were unlucky today, though. However, the siege cruisers present in AGS, the LNS-Leyte.Gulf and the EWS.LNS-Frankfort, did not fare so well, both being disabled in fairly good time. The Maryland in that time managed to deal medium damage to most of the enemy combatants, as well as play a hand in the destruction of two of them. The Indiana, a gunboat pilotted by Commander Malrone as well as the Maryland herself suffered no damage worthy of note, and we lost an unknown number of fighter and bomber class vessels in the aftermath as the dwindling bomber force retreated.
A victory, yes, but it was pyrric. AGS will have to be reformed with new cruisers at a later date.
Moving on, however... Promotions and changes to the roster;
Ensign Jack Will, having proven himself in combat as well as behind the desk, is promoted from Ensign to Lieutenant.
Captains Seth Karlo and Curtis Elwood are both put on to the reserve list until further notice. This is to free up Captain slots which could go to officers that contribute more to the safety and security of Liberty.
