Tonight was one wild night. Vice Adm Greg was patrolling Texas, myself California. Upon contact with Rogue Vlenidohv, I ran a fast scan, showing GMG hostages as well as other civilian pilots. After refusing to halt I pursued said Rogue into Texas.
However once moving into the Texas system a new contact registered. I was facing 2 rogues now instead of 1. Vlenidohv immediatly turned and engaged once Cathartic reached our position.
Seeing the situation Vice Adm Greg moved to assist. The engagement was getting ugly. Cathartic launched missle after missle while Vlenidohv attempted to stay on my 6. After shaking Vlenidohv several times Cathartic moved in out of frustration and I engaged the 2 bogey's in a turning dogfight.
My shields were running low from fighting a 2 front dog fight. I was about @ 10% sheilds, running low on bats, when Greg ordered me to move toward his battleship.
Engaging burners and taking drastic evasive maneuvers, I made it to Greg as he unleashed a deadly volley of fire, which caught the blindsided Cathartic off gaurd!
Giving me some room to breath was no small feat as Vlenidohv was hounding me. After a hail of energy fire knocking down my shields Cathartic send in another missle which almost finished me.
Pushing the bots hard I survived. Both enemy fighters made a run @ Greg launching mines every where as well as the missles Cath was using. Seizing the opening I made a strafing run bringing Cathartic's shields low.
Greg caught Cathartic with a finishing volley. Vlenidohv seemed to sense his doom, but suprising kept fighting. After recovering shields I enaged burners and closed on Vlenidohv. 3 Veng V's were all I had, but after a round from Greg it's all I needed to finish Vlenidohv. Great teamwork Vice Admiral!
