Evening there, ladies and gentlemen. Sub Lieutenant Raven reporting. As usual, I've made a few hours of overtime today, started rather soon with a shift, and made a few more as the day progresses.
I started the first shift alone, in the morning. Liberty core systems were rather quiet. There was only one incident that is worth to mention. I was about to check California, but there were two ships of the Cartel shooting at a secondary fleet Navy pilot. They didn't agree to cease the fire and return to their rocks, so I opened fire on one. After a little chase I was able to take one of them down, the other one ran away as soon as his buddy burned.
The next shift I made was around afternoon. Nothing too significant aswell, except two pirates that cut my lane from the New York gate, to Riverside and Mojave in California. They opened fire on me as soon as they saw me for some reason, so I returned it. There were four of them, two shooting at me at this time, two others watching. I was able to take both out, the other two got away.
Later on the shift I've met up with Lieutenant Ashfield for patrol. It seemed rather quiet in Liberty once again, until we returned from our Patrol through California (Once more). We've encountered an Outcast Gunship there, obviously pirating. Since it didn't listen to any orders, and eventually was even about to enter New York, we opened fire. With Ashfields help I've successfully taken down the threat and moved on.
Lieutenant Ashfield and I continued our patrol, through New York. Ensign Eaton joined us later on as well. It seemed rather quiet once again until Eaton and I encountered another Tridente Gunship on the lane from Norfolk to the Texas Jump Gate. A Liberty Navy secondary fleet pilot was already there aswell. I've called Lieutenant Ashfield to support us, too, since Ensign Eaton is rather unexperienced, and I didn't know how experienced the secondary fleet pilot was, but he said he was already under fire. However, I didn't want the Gunship to get away, so I've ordered to engage it. The gunship pilot was rather experienced, and not quite easy to get down. The secondary fleet pilot pulled out as soon as things got hot, which was rather crucial for our chances of success. Ensign Eaton got shot down a while later, but unharmed. I was able to keep the gunship busy until Ashfield arrived, but we weren't able to take it down before he damaged our ships rather hard. We were able to shoot a few holes up his strong armour plates though. The callsign of the Tridente is Bose, in case someone encounters it again, treat it with high caution.
That was it for this day, Sub Lieutenant Raven signing off.
