Clark Here,
Today at the request of Bretonian Armed Forces i brought myself and my Upholder class bomber to New London where a Bretonian Armed Forces Fleet was assembling. I was assigned to a Lt. Moore's command for the operation. He led the Fighter/Bomber wing. the Capitals where lead by some one from from BAF high command. The fighters went into Leeds first. as soon as we hit the other side we we're engaged by a GRN fighter recon element. A couple of the Fighters held them off while the fleet jumped in and proceeded to Planet Leeds. A few minutes after a defensive formation was achieved at Leeds the Gallic Royal Navy showed up
Quote:INITIAL HOSTILE CONTACTS
4x Valor Class Battleships
4x Obstinate Class Cruisers
1x Perilous Class Gunboat
Multiple Lynx Class Very Heavy Fighters
The the shooting started as it usually does. then an ion storm rolled in for a few moment nobody could see or do anything. the ion storm knocked out anything with a circuit or generated electrical power as well as any visual of anything. At least no one floated into Planet Leeds' gravitational pull and burnt up in its orbit. When i regained control, so did everyone else. and the shooting started up again. Allied forces consisting of BAF, myself from the [LN] primaries, BPA and a few Colonial Remnant ships. Allied fighters held off their fighters leaving the Capitals and the Bombers cleared to engage their Capitals. The Bretonian Capitals had a hard time taking on the Gallic Battleships. Valors are pretty much lined with turrets. as-well as what appears to be a Linear Cannon running along the length of the ship. They are easily more powerful than the Linear Siege Cannon on our own Siege cruisers. these gun could seriously pose a risk for our Capital ships. Id equate their firepower to equal that of two of our dreadnaughts. But there is a silver lining. while they have more C.I.W.S guns the sheer size of the Valor class makes it hard for them to cover their mass. They are susceptible to Bomber craft. So there's at least one advantage.
All of the attacking Battleships were destroyed. Three out of the four Cruisers where downed, 1 cloaked at retreated at a guess. The Gunboat was ripped to shreds. I'm not sure about the fighters as that wasn't my role. Once the Capital ships where destroyed i left the engagement. I let the Bretonian forces mop up. We won that round. But against the firepower of the Gallic forces it will be a tough fight. At present i am at Curacao. i need a stiff drink, possibly two. Ill return back to the Logistics office tomorrow. I'm going to end this here. the adrenaline drain is taxing as we all know. That reminds me, In my absence send the Logistics Paperwork to Polstari or Hartman.
Clark Out.
