Following the nomad thread, recently closed for some vauge superior understanding, I'd like to address something else that has been raised.
This does not exclude zoners if anyone wants to push it here to downgrade my views. Some factions, with similiarties to zoners have no real justification to engage players who are likely to be aggressive regardless of what you do, for instance nomads in civilized stations, theres no reason to think otherwise, but the general intelligencia tells us that unless they actually do something they are not to be considered.."hostile" - where the fact that they are there already implies that same thing. This is why I believe that there should be more freedom of action to all factions who have stations/planets in places where "enemies" are likely to spawn and cause trouble [ again, even if they just sit there doing nothing ]. Zoners in my opinion are just fine with this and i think that factions shouldn't go clockwise to indie zoners for acting in manners of self-defense to their stations. Infact I kinda miss richard at fp11 because he had a very good attitude to farming nommies at the rocky fields around it.
So I think we should consider the following :
Those who farm stations are less likely to be "role-playing" and more "shooting" because "first contacts" isnt exactly hand-shakings to begin with
Stated enemies ( outcasts > corsairs as an exception ) should be allowed to insta-engage with some form of engagement notification, without the need of asking silly questions to which we already know the anwsers.
( Again, I highlight "should be allowed", it doesn't mean rp can't be done )
Indenpendent players who represent the stations affiliation should have complete authority to do as they please in order to ensure its security ( this doesn't mean shooting sairs at freeports because then there would be chaos, so it needs to be pointed before anyone attempts to do that )
And last but not least, we should ban the "get out of jail card" to tell people to switch characters who can do what they intend to do but cannot do so with the former character.
One last thing that I want to point, regarding the omicrons.
Some people think that telling us the omicrons are dangerious and that they are not to be taken lightly is the very reason why those who live in it should have more freedom from their faction's restrictions. I do not know if the staff can get it done, but one way to put it ( and this was suggested by someone ) is to divide the factions to regions, for instance house-zoners to omicron-zoners to tau-zoners, each still keeps its zoi but has different restrictions. And Im asking.. why not? The nomads have a good seperation on that part, and it works just fine.
This doesn't mean restricting tau-zoners to tau grids only, but it does mean buffing em in those regions/ or nerfing them depending on the location/circumstances
Maybe because you talked about HOUSE ZONERS and that this is both completely biased and that it's NOT the first time you put up something like that. Seriously. STOP.
