Name:Caleb Oh Rank:Private First Class Subject:Nomad Incursion in Omicron Delta
Report Begins
Yesterday at around 1605 MST (Manhattan Standard Time), a battlegroup of ours based around the HFB Pandion and HFB Praxis was gathering at Hesperia for a strike on the Republic's naval assets, when we received a Sirius-wide distress call from Freeport 11 in the Omicron Delta system.
The distress call included a set of jump coordinates and rudimentary info about a Nomad incursion. As such, I flew Beta 1 to provide bomber support, while Steve Athanas also joined in as fighter escort.
The Pandion's jump drive malfunctioned and dumped us deep in Outcast space, but well outside patrol range. We had more than enough time and leeway to fix the system in the field, allowing us to properly jump to the outskirts of Omicron Delta. A Rheinland intelligence pilot and a Zoner met us at the Freeport and guided us towards the fighting. Surprisingly, despite only being in the Omicrons on short notice, we were one of the more powerful contingents present, as the various Rim-worlder forces (mainly Core, Order, and Zoners with a sprinkling of Corsairs, Gammu AI, and a few Rheinlanders) were scattered and comprised mostly of mid-size vessels. The Zoners' heavy capital ships Persephone, Unity and Ashira were the core of the ad-hoc defense force, though a few other heavy warships were also present.
The centerpiece of the Nomad incursion looked at first like a Marduk-class battleship, but it was easily two orders of magnitude more durable -- my antimatter gun barely scratched the thing, and an NEMP fired off by one of the defenders was utterly ineffective. When we did finally manage to inflict significant damage on its hull, it sent out some sort of charged psychic attack that wiped out a number of ships in close proximity, and dealt serious damage to the Praxis. Estimates are that the radius of the attack was roughly 10 klicks. Fortunately, it took about a minute to build up to full strength, allowing many friendly vessels time to cruise away and escape the brunt of the attack.
I'll also note that the Nomad dreadnought had a large number of escorting strike craft which were stronger and more agile than the usual Labraid and Rabisu variants we're familiar with. These craft were very difficult to nail down, and had powerful long-ranged weaponry. These craft employed effective swarm tactics; I saw numerous Rimworlder pilots brought down by salvos of these beam weapons.
I'm not sure how or why all of these ships were so noticeably superior to the baseline Nomads that have been encountered since they woke up twenty-odd years ago; I'd hypothesize that the extremely high psychic strength of the dreadnought might have something to do with it, but in the absence of substantial data (my bomber's sensors were fried by the dreadnought's point-defense beams, and the aforementioned NEMP fired off by one of the defenders) this is just conjecture on my part.
More Zoner and Core ships (and an odd Bundschuh) arrived to assist, and the Praxis finished their field repairs and rejoined the fight as well. With this added firepower, the Nomad dreadnought was worn down and eventually destroyed. A few of the smaller Nomad craft were swiftly destroyed before the rest fled. I and a few others attempted to pursue them, but they were too far away to cruise-disrupt, and we were all in need of repairs anyway.
From the wreckage of the Nomad dreadnought, the Praxis managed to get a hold of some sensitive cargo. After the Pandion jumped us back to friendly territory -- along with the vessel Sakura Blaze which hitched a ride -- I oversaw transfer of this sensitive cargo from the Praxis' hold to a secure transport in Vespucci. I'm told we have the crew of the Sunrise to thank for calculating the return jump coordinates so quickly.
The Waran I piloted is currently under repair on Monterrey due to heavy damage from the Nomad point-defense beams and the friendly NEMP. I'll fly it back to Hesperia when repairs are complete.
I heard an operation was planned for today 18:00h, and could reach Hesperia just in time to meet the Damocles and a bomber escort leaving Sierra ice field. I had the pleasure to hear Sahega Etomgi was on Damocles bridge, and to make the acquaintance of the bomber escort pilot - Peyton Zoey - along the way. They needed an interceptor and my light fighter fitted that role perfectly.
The strike group quickly moved into Ontario system and Colorado system until it reached New York system, where several targets were located, by planet Manhattan high orbit. A Liberty Rogue cruiser followed by a whole lot of different targets including Liberty Navy and Bounty Hunter Guild.
Had plenty of fun shooting at those targets, even though things got a tad difficult when the Bounty Hunter showed up. Peyton-san was downed and I probably would have been as well if Sahega-san didn't show up on a fighter to support me.
We stood victorious and returned to Hesperia with Peyton-san's drop pod.
That said, I would like to request emergency repairs for my fighter as I will need it to head to House Bretonia very soon. Some personal business to attend to. Please give my thanks to Sahega-san for the assist, and my apologies to Peyton-san for not having been capable to protect her from the hostile fighters encountered during the operation.

Report Begins
Taking my Prosecutor out for a spin again for the first time in a while, I met up with Etomgi Sahega and Crimson.1 for a combat patrol through New York and the surrounding systems. One of the secondary Legionaires, Donald Jackson, join us for the patrol as well.
Our initial sweep through California and New York was uneventful, with nothing worth noting happening, except for an obvious lack of naval forces in the systems we passed through. After completing a sweep of New York, Sahega chose to bring the Ven'Gyr out to play, as we moved to patrol Magellan. Here we encountered the RNS- Miraculix, a Valor class battleship. The Ven'gyr proved to be more than the Gallic ships match, as it was swiftly torn apart with minimal damage taken by the Ven'Gyr.
Returning to Liberty space to continue our patrol, Donald and I moved to Texas while Sahega returned the Ven'Gyr to dock. In Texas, we encountered two Liberty Rogues, both flying bombers of varying classes, which were promptly educated on the nuances of combat. We were shortly joined by Crimson.2, who took point as we returned to the California system to do a final sweep of the area. No sooner than had Crimson.2 and I left Texas, did Donald stumble across an Outcast bomber, who was quickly taught the error of his ways.
It was at this point in time that all three of us returned to Hesperia to restock and resupply, before Crimson stood down, and the HFB-Pandion requested our support in a search and destroy in the Texas system. Sadly our quarry eluded us here, and on our way back towards Kansas, the Pandion opted to exercise her jumpdrives a little, leaving us in the far reaches of Lorraine. Once the drives had recharged, Pandion returned us to Hesperia, where we met up with BlackJack, who we followed into the New York system for a combat sweep, leaving the Pandion to return to dock.
Unfortunately, the string of successes came to an end in New York, where BlackJack was downed by one of the 5th fleet pilots, and I was shot down by a bounty hunter gunboat.
In conclusion, a series of successful patrols and only a minor setback at the end of the operations. It's good to be back. Attachment: 1, 2, 3, 4

Report from the last patrols events. I joined Ms. Sahega for another patrol, this time only accompanied by Donald Jackson. The patrol itself was nothing special, just a sweep through the systems as normal. However, once again, it was a largely successful operation.
Enemy ships put out of action were one Valor which was forced to make an emergency landing, two Liberty Siege Cruisers, one Guardian, and the emergency docking of a third Liberty Siege Cruiser. Additionally, we witnessed a Bretonian Capital ship by the callsign of Ranger.Silvercloak firing on one of the downed Liberty Siege Cruisers.
All in all, a successful patrol, and a successful strike against the navy.

Today's patrol was significantly shorter than expected for me, as we had no sooner arrived in New York before encountering a member of the ESRD near West Point. Miss Sahega went to go fetch the Invictus for heavy support against incoming Liberty Cruisers, while Orionis kept watch for extra hostiles. I engaged the ESRD, who's reinforcements arrived before long. Two more Liberty Navy snubcraft had joined into the fight, one of which was downed by me, before Orionis downed the ESRD.
My own part in the skirmish was cut short when the third Liberty Navy fighter finally managed to score multiple direct hits, and downed me.

Sortie report,
Fleet Admirals Jones and Polstari, I trust nobody will protest if I make a habit of this. Meeting the enemy head-on in a battle of attrition with far more limited reinforcements than they could muster, we still came out of the engagement victorious, though the enemy is far from broken just yet. I've seen enough to have faith however, to know that at this rate what we want is all but an eventual reality, one that'll happen even in my stead.
P.F.C's Eik and Oh, I'm elevating you both to the ranks of Lieutenant, you've done good not just in my eyes but in the eyes of the people on the ground back at Guadalajara. In fact when it comes down to a skirmish between us and the naval forces, freelancers resort to betting on us rather than the boys in blue.
Corporate oligarchy is very last century, the fire of the people is the new trend-setter.
There is however one point that I wish to raise, for I feel I haven't been honest with my own people and I will never like or want to conceal facts from the very people responsible for me being elected. Don't mistake my forthcoming nature about this fact as a call for pity, I don't want it, I just want you aware rather than seeing my solidarity called into question much later.
Approximately three months ago, the one person who kept me running behind the scenes was mercilessly gunned down far outside the Libertonian border and without so much as a chance for goodbyes. I won't mince my words, I do feel grief, a lot of it. But her demise has taught me one thing, not to do the fact that I'm still breathing a disservice. This is the reason I've made this particular broad-cast entirely public to the population back home.
No, I'm not the most perfect official that's ever been elected into power by the Commonwealth. But I'm never turning my back on anyone beside me, and neither should anyone abandon the people alongside them. I'll be damned the day I'm not doing the people justice.
Today's event began at Hesperia, where Colonel Sahega, myself and strikecraft Crimson 1 departed to investigate a Maltese disturbance in the Pennsylvania system. We encountered a pirate while en-route near the gate to the Pennsylvania system, attempting to extort funds from a Universal Shipping transport. The pirate was promptly engaged by our forces, which had been joined by Crimson 2 while en-route. The transport was knocked out of action, but the pirate was deleted, around the time the Maltese disturbance flowed through the Jump Gate.
The fight didn't take long to start, and soon our four were pit against their three initially, which consisted of a Tridente ((C~Catamaran), a Waran ((C~Assassin.03) and a Sabre ((C~Basilisk). Soon, two more wings arrived to support them, being another fighter ((C~Diamond) and a Touketsu ((C~Vennamis), but with the gunship having been destroyed, our efforts became simpler, especially with Admiral Smith entering the AO. Diamond and Assassin fell not long after, leaving the Sabre and Touketsu remaining. Basilisk managed to engage cloak and scurried off, the bomber being handled by Crimson 2. By determination, it managed to retreat to Buffalo where it made an emergency landing.
En-route back to Hesperia, a Naval vessel was located heading towards California. The LNS-Arctique was soon surrounded by our strikecraft, now with the addition of Executive Commander Dalgaard, the Last Sunrise inbound to provide muscle. However, the cruiser elected to open up on our ships before the Sunrise could arrive, straying into the Detroit field. As the Sunrise arrived, the cruiser soon found itself under heavy fire, and eventually couldn't take it anymore, falling to the Sunrise's guns.
After that, we made out way back to Hesperia. All in all, a good day with no losses.

Huge mess in New York, yesterday...Looks like the Navy was caught sleeping. We had to fight off a giant fleet of Outcasts invading New York while we had limited capital ship support and mostly snubs, no bombers in sight either. A Kusarian was there, no idea why or who he was, but he assisted us in bringing down some of the scum. A Xenos joined us and we paid off a freelancer too, but the freelancer didn't make it out of there alive against those gunboats. We really needed capital ship support there.

I've finally returned to the main fleet after my very long absence. Upon my arrival on Fort Leniex, a sortie to assist friendly forces in the California system against several Navy ships. Needless to say that after a lengthy battle our forces were victorious with little to no losses.
Later on, we encountered the pirate threat known as the Commune. This was my first time encountering such a force and considering their origin, I'm amazed how they've managed to slip by Liberty space. A kill on sight has been issued by all means available has issued.
Below are the achievements of our men during combat. Attachment:
On a patrol two days ago we left on a patrol around Liberty's hot spots to see if there was any hostile movement that we could take care of. No need to add more details to this report, we came across several hostile ships and managed to destroy them with few to no losses.
Today however, a report concerning a Royal Navy dreadnought blockading in the California system, forcing ships to return to the New York system came in. A sortie order was given to Lancaster and the Abaddon to intercept and observe it. On the scene there was already a Liberty Dreadnought exchanging fire with the Gauls, meeting its doom, barely scratching the other ship. In the end, the Abaddon and Lancaster engaged the damaged dreadnought, destroying it while taking a serious pounding by its guns. No losses in this incident.
