I have ordered the Destroyer Iblis back to Vespucci for the purpose of a weaponry refit and an intensive overhaul of the ship's internal systems. Due to the ship's age, I have been informed that brand new parts may be required to keep the ship operational. To that end, I will soon make contact with the Mollies, in order to barter for the necessary parts. I feel that we will be able to afford a few Prosecutors, or even an Inquisitor, to keep the Iblis functioning. I am considering repurposing the Iblis from a point-defence role to a combat destroyer; I will take feedback from other members of High Command on the subject.
On a similar note, the Destroyer Abaddon is similarly aging, but is faring better than the Iblis, so repairs are less urgent. Nevertheless, it won't hurt to have some supplies for that ship on hand too, in case of an emergency. To that end, I am dispatching an AR operative, Recon Seven, to travel out to the Omega cluster, in order to make contact with the Reapers of Sirius. It is my belief that they will have the necessary expertise to build any specialty components the Abaddon might need. I cannot predict how the RoS will receive our agent, but should we come to some favourable negotiation, it will be a much more reliable method than attempting to plunder Outcast supply lines.
In other news, I have overseen the weaponry refit on the Siege Cruiser Excalibur personally. Its C-25 Heavy Plasma Cannon has been replaced with a BR Antimatter Blaster. Its performance in the field will be evaluated when it returns to the front lines, in a matter of days.
