Dear friends,

we have received troublesome news from the Magellan sector, apparently the Royal Navy has started to venture into said space, going on with their assault on the colonies. While we ourselves would not consider it to be too much of a problem to have them and the Libertonian forces crippling each other we also have to think of the wellbeing of those close to us.

I kindly ask you to give us your detailed view on the situation, as well as an information regarding your need of aid in these stormy times.

Be assured that we will stand by your side should you need us, a wing of Fighters possibly aided by Bombers can be dispatched to your base within the area should it be required. We may also be able to prepare a more heavy vessel, however the suspicion a large vessel might cause in regards to your operations should not be our prefered solution.

For power. For Ishmael. For the Ghosts.
Salutes.

Dear Senora Zito,

Thank you for your friendly message. The situation in Magellan is critical. We have already started to evacuate non-essential personnel and our headquarters from Mactan to Cochrane. At the same time we have brought all our heavy hitters to Magellan to prepare for the defence of the base. In addition to what Kelly probably told you, you can consult third section of this report for some additional information. Ever since the Liberty Navy took control of the Freeport 4, Magellan is a constant battle zone between various groups of militants.
  • Liberty: Liberty forces are composed mostly of secondary fleets of capital ships, most commonly assault battlecruisers and carriers. They seem to be poorly commanded, however their numbers make them hard to overrun by the Royalists. Primary fleet of the Liberty Navy is rarely seen in Magellan, but if it happens, they tend to send very strong squadrons of fighters and bombers, often accompanied by primary division of the Liberty Security Forces.
  • Gallia: Gallic Royal Navy, both primary and secondary fleets, is regularly attacking Magellan from Leeds with strong invasion forces. Primary fleet usually sends a well balanced mix of fighters, bombers and capital ships, while the group called Punishers tend to rely on light bombers supported by one or two battleships.
  • Bretonia: Presence of Bretonian forces in Magellan is rather limited. We believe that their primary objective is defence of Newcastle and New London at the moment, so they only send handful of fighters, bombers and capital ships, both from the primary and secondary fleet.
  • Colonial Remnant: Colonial primary fleet is apparently occupied elsewhere, however, they have sent 27th squadron to aid their allies. We call them "Running Rabbits". Their wings usually consist of several fighters. We also know that they have a cruiser or two in the vicinity.
  • Bounty Hunters Guild: Various individuals either belonging to the primary branch of the Guild or only loosely affiliated with it have been seen in the Magellan aiding the anti-Gallic coalition. They usually do not pose a real threat.
  • The Council: Individual ships affiliated with the Council primary and secondary forces have been seen both in Magellan and Cortez, but similar to the Bounty Hunters Guild, they have not played any major role in the conflict so far.
  • Hellfire Legion: Apparently Hellfire Legion militias are once again forming in Vespucci after the turmoil that happened over a half year ago. While their presence in Magellan is not significant at the moment, the situation can quickly change, especially that we had already hostile encounters with them and the Xeno Alliance. Their allegiance is unknown.

After thorough analysis we have come to a conclusion that the best strategy will be to wage guerilla war against all of the above-mentioned parties indiscriminately. We do not really want anybody to connect the dots, therefore, all the attacks must have completely random origin to ensure that the location of Mactan is not compromised. We believe that random guerilla-like attacks, while not tipping the tide of the battle, will guarantee maximum of causalities on both sides of the conflict, which is at the moment our primary goal. Our reasoning is as follows. Weakened Gallic forces will not be able to push Liberty forces out of Magellan. However, in return, weakened Liberty forces, while still under pressure from Rheinland, will not be able to fully assist Bretonia Armed Forces in reclaiming Leeds and other lost systems. This in turn will once again maximize causalities on both Bretonian and Gallic side, which is also our goal. We want to see Gallics defeated, however, it must be a Pyrrhic victory for both Liberty and Bretonia.

Any help in accomplishment of this goal will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Nicole Hunter

Miss Hunter,

a wing of fighters will be dispatched soon, so you will not be alone out there.
Your choice of tactics also equals, those that the Ghost Command has suggested. Swift and heavy strikes with a maximum of damage, but a low risk of causalities on our side appear to be the most efficient way to deal with this.

Expect our vessels to arrive in Magellan soon.

For power. For Ishmael. For the Ghosts.
Salutes.
