The basic idea is that the starting point could hop during a server maintenance cycle, so that new players could start on any of the four colonies' capital planets. All colonies are able to support new players and provide various styles of gameplay. It could bring more variety to the game and also shake the freezing feeling of all other colony systems except Liberty being uninhabited.

I nominate Rheinland.

(For reasons unstated for now.)

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Eh. It doesn't matter. Soon there'll be a faction rule where you have to register your intent to start off in a system within their ZoI.

That, to say the least, would be difficult.. you'd need a pike larger than a gas giant and capable of piercing the sphere, and depending on it's angle possibly resisting the power of a main sequence star.

NY is quite good starting location being in the center of sirius... But it's getting used and abused... Really starting locations should rotate between all major houses...

Donate to the Poor Pilot's Fundation via Sirius Bank /givecash GreenHawk 1000000 now, and support poor pilots sirius wide!

Just to clarify, it would go like:

1. Manhattan
2. New London
3. New Tokyo
4. New Berlin
5. (1.) Manhattan
...
and all over again.

It could be compared to the four seasons of the year. Each colony would get its fair share of newbies.
