Looking over my daily security reports, I see there was some sort of situation atAmestoday? Can you please provide me with more information about this? The basic report is rather vague and I would like to know more details if they are available?
After seeing the report, I took a look at the records in regards to the security systems on Ames. They seem to be rather crude my friend. As we have completed the upgrades on Livadia, I have several work crews that are currently available to come to the station and overhaul your security network if you would like? I know the work being done there can be well... "touchy" during the best of times, so please let me know if you would like to do the overhaul? Rour safety brother and the safety of all of the men and women at Ames are of a top priority.
The basics of the overhaul would be as follows:
Step 1:All docking bays would undergo a structural reinforcement process that would include but not limited to; inner and outer docking bay doors, bulkheads, and the connecting superstructure of the docking areas. This would more then triple the current structural integrity of the docking areas.
Step 2:Instillation of an emergency decompression array. A rapid door sealing system would replace the "slower" doors currently in operation on the station ( I say slower as the new system can seal all the doors in less than 1 second). The system was designed as a fire suppression system, allowing each area to be compartmentalized to limit the fires potential damage. Once the area has been sealed it can be purged of all oxygen interdependently without risk to station. In a worse case scenario this would be used as an additional safe guard to the station. Cutting off any would be aggressor before they had a chance to enter the stations critical areas and also to provide the valuable time for the security forces to mobilize. The purge function could also act as "final" deterrent as loathsome as it may be.
Step 3:The instillation of Mk III DSM-101 Heavy directional shield generators and HAW-6 "Vengeance" weapon arrays in each area of possible access to the station. While working on Livadia's upgrades we had several breakthroughs on the previous HAW models. We have greatly increased the accuracy by a modest 21% over the previous system. Operational information about the "Vengeance" weapon array is well... limited to only a few people as I'm sure you can understand... as a security measure only... But I assure you brother, woe to any who would dare trigger such a system as it is my greatest work yet!
There are several other options we can discuss about possible upgrades at your convenience. Till then brother, peace be with you. Shade out...

A pleasure t' once again hear from ya! Been a while considerin' me bein' cooped up here at Ames an' occasionally venturing t' my labs on Corinth. Hope all is well with ya lad. Which also explains my absence in replyin' t' ya sooner. Been quite busy here, so hardly have time t' get away from ta labs.
Regardless, as t' your proposal of an overhaul. What ya outlined is definitely warranted an' will provide ta needed security an' upgrades. While many of ta systems here have done an adequate job, our ever increasing labs and thus traffic have rather drastically reduced our confidence in a properly outfitted station such as Ames.
With that said, I believe embarking on Step 1 immediately would be ideal. Please do let me know what all will be needed, an' as such I can see about establishing contracts along with yourself with our Trade Department, an' perhaps speaking with Deep Space Engineering, considering their involvement with building Ames in ta first place.
Once Step 1 has been completed, we will continue on with Step 2, but I'd rather not be too hasty. With ta ever increasing threat of these Dark Matter storms, an' of course pirates, I'd like t' keep any projects an' endeavors closely guarded an' watched t' avoid any complications.
As I mentioned previously, please let me know what our staff an' I can do t' begin Step 1 in outfitting Ames.

Greetings Finn,
It is a pleasure to hear from you as well brother. You are correct, it has been far to long indeed. The delay is very understandable as we are both busy men. It would seem both fitting, and appropriate to make contact with Deep Space Engineering in regards to the original schematics of the station as this will greatly increase our efficiency on the upgrade.
I agree, we should also take our time to work on these upgrades. If we are foolish and attempt to much we could very well create much greater problems for the overall safety of the station and ourselves. This is something we can avoid easily if done correctly.
I will make way to Amesimmediately, so we can inspect the station. This will allow us to judge the total amount of materials needed and allow time forDeep Space Engineering to reply in regards to our request if the schematics. Once this is done, we can contact the trade department and provide them a list of our requirements.
It will be good to see you! Have the drinks ready brother as (\^/)Lamiawill depart in the next hour or so. Till then, safe skies brother!
Shade out...
