Communications ID- Ansel Xavier Communications Recipient-Celie De Montfort, Office of Naval Intelligence. Communications Priority:Medium
Ansel appears on screen, his expression calm and determined.
Miss Montfort.
Congratulations on your new charge, and I trust you've settled in well.
His eyes narrowed in a cold look.
Naval Intelligence has been stained by a series of defections and mismanagement, and Command has it's doubts about the continued relevance of your organization. The burden lies on you to prove us wrong. A woman with striking features appears on screen, a determined look in her eye.
Marechal Xavier,
I appreciate the vote of confidence in my abilities.
Her voice resounds with subtle sarcasm. She then cracks a narrow smirk that doesn't reach her eyes.
I suppose you and the rest of High Command have every reason to doubt my organization after the events of the last year. I am not the type of person to make grandiose promises - I am a realist, Marechal, and everything I know about you indicates that you are one as well.
So, I offer you a single promise. I will always be honest and straightforward with you, Marechal, and I hope you will be the same with me. Despite the nature of my occupation, there must be absolute clarity between us in order to be successful.
I think we've started off rather well, non?
She turns away for a moment, listening to someone quietly speaking off-screen. After a moment, she turns back - her face is placid but her blue eyes glitter.
Contact me when you have work for the ONI. For now, we will continue working up the new agents and cleaning up the... mess left around here.
Siren, out.
She smiles, clearly pleased about something, and then reaches up to cut the communication.
