Liberty Navy Texas Armada 56'th Division
"Ever vigilant, never fearin', and always ready!
... To ever protect, never yield, and always serve!" - Unofficial motto. Credited to Admiral Felix Guildington (deceased)
Popularly known for its yonder frontiers and potential for growth, seedy locals and mighty-strong drinks, and a planet of arid prairies pocketed by labor factories around the countrybacks. Unpopularly known as Liberty's infamous "Prison System", with most of its denizens being what Manhattan "Apple-Slickers" deem the "socially undesirable". Home to, and the place of origin for, the Bounty Hunters Guild movement. That, and we done reckon the LPI sunk their teeth right at the heart of the action of putting the criminals to power the industries in this system as they serve their times here.
But with Liberty being a suspicious sugar-gal, the BHG and its Core ain't allowed to just field large flotillas and capital ships within the dusty outbacks of Texas, not without raising the rest of Liberty's concerns that them BHG folks might suddenly up-and-plan their own invasion of our House.
Nor can the privately-owned LPI be fully reckoned on to constantly patrol the system's lanes and streets with proper equipment and manpower, not without being thrown enough money at to glean them outta their doughnut-eating desks to done do their jobs right.
And don't be forgetting that the system's smack-dab near the edge of the independent worlds towards Rheinland (which we here in Texas affectionately call Rheindeer, or Deer for short). It still ain't an uncommon occurrence to have Deersects like Valkyries and Deerbuffies like Rheinland Battleships pounding their horns and hooves hard on the pavements of Planet Houston. Them BHG can't, nor don't aim to handle them Deer for us, nor are the LPI equipped to handle the realities of war and Deer hunting.
So with the BHG forces here limited of their full fighting spirit, the LPI content to sit there with their eyes on the criminal-labor-force prize at the expense of everything else, while the Deer serve as an ever-present itch on our fair House's bee-hinds... where does that leave the ol' regulars of Texas with?
Who do 5k'ers filled to the brim with clear-gold from the Apple to Houston turn to when a Scylla, a Tridente and a Roc appear on the radar and ring them of their hard-earned seven-digit Creds that they done got through an honest-month's work?
Who does the Sugarland warden turn to when about twenty percent of his inmates suddenly break loose, killing and pissing on anything in sight, just as Rogue P-Trans begin their approach to liberate their long-lost members and bring hell on high-water back to innocent hearts?
Who does the local Synth Foods farmer, an honest-living hubby to a mighty-fine looker, and loyal father to two loving kids of five- and ten-years-old, turn to when them Deers suddenly come outta the Trade Lane with several Deerbuffies and an entire flotilla of Deersects, then have Deerines pouring out of the skies in assault freighters like it was hell on high-water all over again, capturing, maybe even burning farmsteads left-and-right for the glory of that screwed-up megalomaniac they done call a leader?

Why, they turn to the darn-tootin' finest stars-and-stripes this side of the Liberty South has to offer, THAT'S what!
We're the 4-56'th. The Liberty NavyTexas Armada, 56'th Division.
We're the gents with the capitals and ships to protect your shiny 5k'er from the hurt of the pirate jack SNAC. We'll even smack them unlawful slickers' bums for you until they wake up all sore and hungover to next Tuesday!
We're the boys with the toys and the training to make them inmates wanna mosey on back to their cells all peaceful-like for fear they be getting a good spanking from us! We'll shoot them Rogue P-Trans down from the skies and prove that Texas ain't a place where criminals can just have a vacation!
We're the soldiers of Freedom, of Justice, of Honor, and of Truth. We've Devil-dealed our lives and our damned souls to protecting your farmsteads, your factories, your industries, your homes, and your livelihoods from the likes of any and all foreign and domestic threats. Before them Deerines in them Deer assault freighters be fixing to take in a single breath of Houston air, or fixing to step them boots on our beloved soil or metal flooring, they'll have to pry every single particle from the 4-56'th's cold, dead, done-firm hands!
//pics of a Guardian, a Valkyrie, a Manta, a Liberator, and a Sabre dogfighting high above Planet Houston >>> Just another day for a 4-56'th Ensign. <<<
The duties of the 4-56'th are great, the responsibilities we shoulder even greater. We ain't gonna lie to y'all: when we lift off from Houston, or launch from the Mississippi or Huntsville or whatevs, we carry with us death wishes. Our heads be painted red like hunting targets in a public target range. Our enemies find glory and sadistic joy in shooting us down. While the BHG take care of much of the flak and the LPI are there when you've got either the creds or their moods, when we're called in that's when it's real messed up.
It ain't money or a prospective military career that drives us: the 4-56'th frequently faces a lack of many things at many turns. It ain't the glory that makes us get outta bed: we serve the incarcerated and the reformed, the grizzled traders and the shady dealers, the dirty industries and the arid soil, broken birds and hopeless hearts. And that ain't even mentioning the rest that Liberty needs protecting.
Instead, we live and breathe the Texan Dream. The dream where the unsavory are worth saving, the broken can be mended, and the hopeless can find hope. The lands here be harsh and dry, but they be mighty fair to all. May any higher power up there pray for them who seek to threaten them who make a rightful living in these lands, cause we'll be there. Ever ready to shove the hell they bring with them back down their ugly throats, even if we have to take our gloves off and use our bare, bloodied hands to do it!
The 4-56'th is a short-hand for the Liberty Navy Texas Armada, 56'th Division, whose main objective is defending the Texas System and its denizens from both external and internal threats, in addition to keeping Liberty safe. Trained to deal with the system's unique prison colony history, in addition to their main duties as Liberty Navy personnel they work similarly to (and alongside) the BHG and LPI in making sure none of Liberty's criminals housed in Texas ever get out other than as reformed citizens, or as body bags. However, a recent disaster has crippled the 4-56'th, so now it has to fight to keep itself from dissolving from lack of funds, resources and manpower.
June: Admiral Felix Guildington of Primary Fleet was reassigned to Texas Armada, founding the 56'th Division, with the Liberty Dreadnought Florida Keys made as the Division's Flagship, and Captain Stewart Riley as its XO. Commander Harrington "Harriet" Fieldson of Texas Armada was promoted to Vice Admiral to assist Guildington.
56'th Division Command Structure was finalized on 24 June, 815 A.S., members roster, ships and equipment for the 4-56'th finalized and mobilized to Planet Houston on 30 June, 815 A.S.
July: 4-56'th finalizes all necessary preparations, and begins full operation.
October: 4-56'th Science Branch finishes Project "Coregift" in cooperation with DSE, increasing responsiveness and handling of all "Liberator" vessels.
817 A.S.
February: Rumors of spies within the 4-56'th Logistics Lower Command pop up, a shakedown is attempted by V.Admiral Fieldson, but comes up empty.
July: Another rumor spreads among the 4-56'th ranks, this time about Science Branch Members giving away classified intel to Rheinland agents, another shakedown is scheduled by V.Admiral Fieldson, but alleged P.W. Researchers commit suicide before they could be taken in for questioning, forcing Project "Firmation" to be terminated.
August: 4-56'th participates with BHG and LPI in the Jameston Massacre, which was one of the biggest prison breaks from Sugarland Liberty has ever seen, leading to 100+ Sugarland Security Personnel and 1000+ Criminals of mostly Rogue- and Xeno-origin killed, and leaving a section of Sugarland needing extensive repairs.
September: Another rumor spreads, this time about the [LN] and 4-56| joint-Project "Clovermeal" security and secrecy being compromised by spies. V.Admiral Fieldson personally takes command of "Clovermeal" security with Captain Maverick Travis of the Liberty Siege Cruiser Arlington as 2iC, capturing 2 scientists from the 4-56| side, and 1 scientist from the [LN] guilty of espionage.
October: Not long after, "Clovermeal" Ops. Center is bombed, killing ten scientists. "Clovermeal" was terminated on 8 October, 817 A.S.
818 A.S.
January: Rumors of two 4-56'th projects, Projects "Timothor" and "Narwhaler", spread where their Project Commands were suspected of taking Cardamine to cope with their jobs' stress. V.Admiral Fieldson ordered Cpt. Travis to spearhead a full investigation on these two projects.
Cardamine was indeed found being stored by both projects, but only one of the two Project Leaders, Klemeth Anderson of "Narwhaler", tested positive for Cardamine Addiction. "Narwhaler" and "Timothor" were put on hold.
February: Both Projects "Timothor" and Narwhaler" Ops. Centers were bombed, with no injuries. Both projects were thus terminated.
V.Admiral Fieldson and Cpt. Travis were implicated in a scandal that caught the entire 4-56'th's attention. A full investigation by Admiral Guildington revealed the allegations were entirely false, court-martialing the whistleblowers. Up to the present, it is treated as a running gag among the 4-56'th to tease Fieldson and/or Travis as being in a relationship.
May: Project "Penelopip" reaches completion, increasing resistance to Dark Matter Radiation for all Liberty Navy Vessels.
December: Project "Marriet" reaches completion, accomplishing primary objective of increasing signal strength and speed for all 4-56'th Comms Channels, but failed secondary objective of bringing V.Admiral Fieldson and Cpt. Travis into an official relationship.
820 A.S.
May: Ens. Underwood Treatles accidentally catches Lieutenant Commander Leviticus Arche of the Liberty Gunboat Segno red-handed in giving away classified patrol intel to Rheinland agents, Lt.Cmdr Arch is summarily court-martialed.
Shortly after, numerous rumors of spies in all branches of the 4-56'th pop up, prompting V.Admiral Fieldson and Cpt. Travis to begin a full investigation into the founding of the 4-56'th.
July: Unknown assassins attempted to murder both V.Admiral Fieldson and Cpt. Travis, but only succeeded in injuring the latter. They were identified as Rheinland Military Agents.
V.Admiral Fieldson and Cpt. Travis finish the investigation, and Admiral Guildington proposed a classified meeting among the 4-56'th's three branches' Commands to inspect the data directly, and determine the best course of action.
August: The meeting was held within a secluded area on 5 August, 820 A.S. within the Minnesota System, aboard the 4-56'th Flagship, Liberty Dreadnought Florida Keys, with Arlington to rendezvous later. During the meeting, Liberty Siege Cruiser El Paso and Liberty Gunboats Oakvale and Dunderdeep arrived from cruise and attacked the Florida Keys. Meanwhile, precision blasts within the Flagship crippled the vessel and killed most of the crew, Admiral Guildington and Cpt. Stewart Riley being some of them. Shortly after, the Arlington, with the Liberty Gunboat Benavides in formation, arrived on the scene and defended Florida Keys. The first half of the battle the traitors' were winning, but when V.Admiral Fieldson, alongside other surviving crew, fixed enough of the Florida Keys engines and defense systems to work, and when the Benavides captain, Lieutenant Commander Victor Keys, was granted permission to take charge and be the one to issue priority targets, was when the traitors were finally routed back and destroyed.
Present Day
Fieldson is appointed the new 4-56'th Admiral, while Travis as the new Vice Admiral. Lt.Cmdr Victor Keys, for showing great competency in the line of duty, was promoted to Commander and made to captain the Florida Keys.
In light of Admiral Fieldson and V.Admiral Travis' investigation and the recent tragedy, the 4-56'th is undergoing a massive restructuring and improvements to its recruitment and background-checking procedures.

While the Liberty Navy in general has its Main and Secondary Headquarters in Virginia and Planet Manhattan (respectively), the 4-56'th has its Headquarters in Texas.
While Norfolk remains as the shipyard 4-56'th capitals utilize for major repairs, capitals are usually moored on Planet Houston on Mooring Fixtures reserved for the 4-56'th for minor repairs, general maintenance, and to be readily available in case threats to Texas come up.
Being a fairly new Division compared to other fleets under the Texas Armada, the 4-56'th itself maintains only one Battleship, and a few other mobile assets:
