I was informed by Monsieur Tavernier that you were the man to get a hold of if we wished to work dealings with the Gallic Metal Service. We of the Unione Corse, and you of the Gallic Metal Service, are not tied to the deep pockets of the Crown, and we must make our own way in space more often than not. It is with this in mind that we would like to make a suggestion on perhaps working some of our way together?
We know there is a lot of work to be done in extracting resources from the Taus, or even within Gallia proper, and that reliable transportation can be difficult with so many resources headed out and not in. This is where the Unione can help. We transport things to our friends near the front frequently, and often have transports available out in the Taus. Perhaps we might work out a way to haul resources your miners would otherwise have to leave alone back to Gallia or other markets of interest? We're also quite able of providing protection and hunting services against certain unsavory types like the Outcasts, various pirates, and perhaps the occassional odd alien threat. The two of our interests would surely align quite well on this, non?
We attempted to deal with Monsieur Tavernier, but he wisely, and honestly, told us that you were the gentleman to make such arrangements with. We hope that his recommendation on the matter adds weight to your consideration of our proposal.
It indeed seems strange that a Member of the Corse would be directly contacting GMS as we were both on different sides of the fence. But times change and enemies become friends and vice versa. I even hear rumours that the Gallic Royal Navy are more accepting of your presence.
Jacques has told me about his encounter with you and I trust his judgement implicitly. I still have a nagging doubt with regards to your possible present/past involvement with the Marquis and Brigands. These groups still attack our shipping on regular occasions. Talking doesn't hurt and with that in mind I am willing, on his advisement, to discuss with you about the possibility of a mutual relationship of trade and possible protection.
I await, with anticipation, for your reply.

I must say that we were not expecting to be called out as being "on the other side of the fence" by you when we came to you with this business proposition. It is a bit chilling to see an open proposal responded to in such a manner. Our particular branch has been around for some time since the reorganization of the Corse, and we have never been involved in anything that would make us unlawful in the eyes of the Crown. We are businessmen, monsieur. Your suspicions are just that, suspicions; unfounded ones at that.
Merci beaucoup to Monsieur Tavernier for his word on our behalf, however. We must start with something, non?
We are aware that you work the mining fields in Tau-23, Provence and perhaps a few other Gallic systems as well. There are also rumors of possible expansion out into the Tau-29 system. The Unione Corse know these areas well, and are able to provide both transport and escort services for you there. For example, Monsieur Tavernier gave a flat rate for loading our Vache class transports with Beryllium Ore that benefited the both of us profitwise. We believe that such deals may be regularly made if we come to an agreement. Also, we are quite willing to claim bounties, especially against whatever Outcast wishes to interfere with your work in the Taus.
If this is a proposition you can get behind then we would like to hear your opinion on the matter. We hope that this has made what we can do for you quite clear.
I apologise if I have offended you, but, I have been in this business for quite a while and remember the days when the Corse where often seen running around with the Marquis and the Brigands. As I said in my last communique 'Times change' and I am glad that you have stepped over on to the right side of the 'fence'.
I will instruct my Miners that, when your ships contact them, they are to be treated as 'favoured' customers. You may also be interested in the Aluminium Ore that is mined in Picardy.
I suggest we see how this progresses before we make any other commitments.
I hope this is agreeable with you.

This sounds like a good first step. We will accept this tentative proposal and go from there.
We will provide our own security as necessary, so please let your captains know not to be alarmed by their presence. They will of course be available for hire by your captains if they decide that they need the help, otherwise they will stick to protection of Corse assets.
