Helium mines incredibly quickly in Pennsylvania with a Miner ID, actually. Even though it isn't as valuable as Platinum and the likes, you can mine it a lot quicker.
If I'm not mistaken, Helium sells for almost 6k a unit up in Kusari, too. It might not be competitive with 'real ores', but it's most definitely competitive with good trade routes.
I always enjoyed doing Helium runs to Okinawa, and then Helium-3 back to Pittsburgh. Not bad at all.
Think, penssylvania is the newbie system. This easy mining is intendent just to boost a bit the newbiew pilots money. Thats all, its the unique system with the best rate drop in all sirius only to help new players. Also, note you willl only get bonuses if you are Miner ID+Miner weapons+Any IFF+Miner ship.
