Well, now that singleplayer is being thrown out (Or so I've heard), I'd like to raise a point about the Mines in Hamburg. We all know them as those things in the Hacker Screenshot someone posted a couple of days ago.

Now, they are quite an obstacle in the west side of Hamburg, and they serve no purpose to the mod now that Singleplayer is being scrapped. So, can we please remove them from the mod?

How about turning it into a Rheinland type of zone-21?

EDIT: Or maybe, we can put a Jump Hole in the middle of the could and have it lead to one of the nomad or wild systems? And then, when you first go into the center of the cloud where the nomad ships were in SP, there would be like 1-2 nomad or wild GB patrols guarding the Jump Hole. Perhaps even put a very small station that would belong to the Wild or Nomads, just for added protection?

No don't remove... use them !!!!!

For one of these:

1. New secret research station (Rheinland doesn't have any) for researching Wilde/Nomads.

2. Jump Hole to Braunschweig

3. New shipyard building newest Rhienland ships - RH bomber, Mjolnir SHF, Xing's superbomber...

Still - those mines are of nomad origin. I know they look cool, are unique et cetera...

but the noad war is long over. Besides... Rheinland would most likely prefer to get rid of all and any trace of nomad presence in their space.

I do agree, that that particular and unqiue cloud should stay and serve as the Rheinland Zone 21 (How about Peenemunde as a name?), but the nomad mines should go... and be replaced by those more powerful ones like surrounding Zone 21.

If the nomad mines stay tho (Why set up a new, expensive field if we still have a "captured" one?), I'd like to see theyr damage output vastly increased. It would be so much more fun to really care about if you touch them or not. And there still is that nice, lil passage, marked with those small lights, no?

First, I think they need a bigger exclusion zone so you can actually get into them...then they need a new research facility and a Rheinland Military Guard battleship in there. After all, these things are evil space aliens that almost took us over, we're going to dissect everything we have about them and try to (A) make sure that doesn't happen again and (B) see if we can use anything of theirs to our advantage. As it stands the Nomads were growing Battleships in there. Wouldn't it be wise to keep that facility and find out how they did what they did?

Mine fields, explosive gas & radioactive zones colour Sirius. Removing one or more diminishes the playing experience. Should we now remove the minefield in the Molly Asteroid Field now that there is a cease fire??

I voted NO

That facility ceased to exist when the Bundshuh bo$$ (Botzler, wasn't it?) crashed into it and blown it to bits (Loudest NOOOES! in the game is heard then), so using it again would be very difficult...

Some new installations would be welcome there tho...

Yeah... otherwise, only their fighters will be able to get in and out. The gap in the mines is too small for anything bigger than a bomber.

And obviously, RM will want to have some big boats for sale in there.

I was thinking more and "small and special" ones... like those I listed.
