It's not that hard to understand guys. A trade vessel used for trading is exempt from the rule of the 2 hour no-return. But if someone uses said transport to PIRATE, it no longer is classified as a trade ship, but is a pirate vessel. It's not clearly outlined because, lets be frank, it's common sense. Pirate =/= trader.
People will always find a way to find the grey area/loophole in any rule. If admins were to outline EVERY possibility, the rules would be pages long, and would hinder any new player upon seeing such a vast list of rules.
I highly disagree with the sanction. The rules MUST be clear! Trade vessels are freighters and transports. The rule says nothing about the USE of said ships. Only type. I think that's pretty clear and so the sanction is unfair.

Again, I point you to what I posted above:

Seriously, the admins shouldn't/don't need to hold player's hands and direct them on how to play. It's common sense honestly.

Then tell me where it says transports and frieghters == trade vessels, completely unambiguously and without any lack of clarity, and also says that they may not be classified as combat vessels ever.
Oh, wait, it doesn't say that anywhere, and you're the kind of person whose incessant bleating makes extensive lists of rules necessary.
To go along with Omicega, trade vessels are not defined as being solely transports/freighters. It's how you USE the transport/freighter that qualifies you as a trade vessel, not the ship itself (And now, that does not mean you can take a battleship and trade in it before someone brings that up. Again, common sense people). Are you trading in a transport/freighter? Then you're a trade vessel. Are you pirating in it? Then you are not a trade vessel, you are a pirating vessel.
Simple as that. It's all about how you use it. Say you have a old naval warship that was decommissioned and made into a museum, then it gets re-activated, do you classify it as still a museum, or a warship? You classify it as what it's being used for. A transport pirating is not a trade vessel, but is a pirate vessel.
Again, not arguing that those are not trade ships.
But, that rule is meant as to for what purpose you are using said transport/freighter/trade ship.
Not sure how many times I need to re-word the same thing. If you are pirating in ANY ship, whether a transport or a fighter or whatever, you are not a trade vessel, but are a pirate vessel.
If you are trading ONLY, then you are a trade vessel according to that rule.
Think whats fair. If you get pirated by a BorderWorlds Transport, and you some how kill him, do you view him as a trader, or a pirate? Do you expect him to not return to the system for 2 hours, or do you expect him to stay and pirate others or even you again when you pass through?
