1.4 Player owned bases may not be constructed or moved to within a 20K radius of any Mineable zone, and 15K from any Jumphole or jump gate with the intent of entirely cutting off accessibility to other players on the server. Any base which violates this may be removed without prior warning.

We have to stop this from happening, I dont care whos base it is. So dont start complaining about "oh this is just because of x faction pulling y"

I say this BECAUSE of so many factions that have done this and PROVEN that we MUST STOP this activity from happening.

It hurts EVERYONE, even the owners of the bases that construct it, which means at the most basic level it is Harming the server and its daily activity.

I believe the administration has the right and should have the will to see that players are not damaging the server with these bases, the same way if not even worse than cheaters do.

actually allowing these bases to exist is like allowing the community to commit seppuku (ritual suicide) and not doing anything to stop it.

What say you?

PS: the distance values I stated might need editing a little, but you get the base idea.

No, bases should be placed wherever the builder chooses! And then, they should be moved wherever they choose!
Players should be able to set up their base in a secluded location, and then have admins move it right into the action!

Anyway, yes. Do something to stop POBs from camping gates or holes or bases or any other stupid, RP-ruining, interaction-ruining, stupid location.

15k is hardly too close to be considered blocking a gate or jump hole.

You could accomplish the same with them only 7k away.

While I agree to some sort of rules to this, I think 20k off of mineable zones and 15k from jumpholes is too strict.

People must have an actual motivation to build a base, and that should be more versatile than just building cloaks, jump drives, and docking moduls.

Mining bases is a perfectly non-activity killing thing. Cant pirate the miners there? Too bad. the base will become an activity hub. Thats good. They did a lot of work to achieve that. You will still have a raised oportunity to pirate the haulers on the way to where they haul.

For the jumps and gates, agreed. 10k from those so they do not totally block traffic.
