BEST SHIELD

Hi!
The best shield (for Very Heavy Fighter) i have found is above 11000 (Brigandine)....
Is there any better shield for VHF?

If you found the class 10s, that's as good as it gets.

Freighters go up to Adv. Brigandine/Champion/whatever the other one is but are all class six.

Transports can get the Adv. Transport shield.

Everything above has only one shield per shiptype- you can get different kinds (graviton, molecular, whatever the other one is) but they all have the same values.

there is one little exception - the marsflyer shield, which has less power than the FL shields, but does not suffer from weapontypes - or at least it doesn t say what type it is. ( lvl10, too - but you won t get it if you re not order, zoner or corsair )

"Better" is relative.
Who are you going to fight the most often?
Get the shields that are stronger against them, (Graviton, Tachyon, Otherthingybob)

According to FLStat, it's Graviton. However, while it's a bit weaker, it does recharge slightly faster than other fighter shields.

ah - fl stats:P- there goes the mystery of the alien shield haha. - its not as good as the "normal" shields anyway - or... lets say, its no difference, but costs you a lot more ( in fact - a few million for the marsflyer )

I'd stick with Graviton shields all the time, give at least SOME protection from those darned pulse weapons. A Class 10 20% damage buffer can be life saving.

And because you (and virtually everyone else on the server) do so, my particle weapons need no accompanying shieldbusters to tear you apart! 1.5x the hullbusting smash for me!

I tailor my shields to my common foes and their weapons. 4xcode 1xtizzy/debbie is going to smash my shields in the same number of hits whether I have graviton or not, so I might as well try and protect myself against 5xHornviper/Firekiss, or whatever particular weapon is favored.
