This will probably sound weird, but... Why can't you just roll it back to .85?
Even in case you just do, people would thank you, I'm sure. Things were so simple and attractive back then.
Or furthermore: roll back and then replace old models with new ones, cut out unneeded stuff, add POBs after some time.
There was a Discovery 2.0 thread already, but for me my suggestion seems way more easy to implement.
Current Discovery is terrible, with all these major changes, some of them are interesting, but still are too risky.
And yes, I'm pretty sure also that this is not a fresh idea. I would like to hear what the whole community says about that.

Yep Let’s Roll it back to .85 and while we’re at it let’s roll back Real Life too shall we? Roll back all those Cristmas' all those Birthdays all those endless nights spent up all night working on a game they don't even get paid for possibly missing out on real life things, friends moving on kids growing older. Sure we can roll it back and maybe people will be happy but what about all the work the Dev team has done? All those long sleepless nights, and what do you have to say about it “I don't like it roll it back". I honestly wonder who even considers the fact that the Devs have Lives too real life struggles. Who knows, do you know? Sure I may not like some stuff they do I won't lie but Instead of crying for a roll back I give some constructive criticism. " Hey Not a huge fan of Change X why not do Y and then maybe people will like the result?" Just a suggestion I say what’s wrong, and provide a possible fix. But continuing to flame the Devs that they are wrong bad and need to go back to .85 is a slap in the face, it’s an insult, all their time that they sacrificed working here to make nice things for you and now you don't want it you don't want any of it. I want to applaud the devs for working hard even when it seems the entire community is against them. Keep up the good work, and I am thoroughly enjoying Disco and all you have done to get it to where it is.
Edit: If you really dont like the Mod then why are you here? Simple question. No one is forcing you to be here.
Discovery is dying, it's wrong to deny that.
Technical part of the game is familiar to them, but still it's all overloaded, including server software.
I appreciate their work, but they must be the ones who should appreciate it first, so to not to do unneeded job.
We just need to find a way to rescue Disco somehow, I can't just look on it.
And of course it will involve sacrifices.

Because this was the only great mod, I loved it and also spent much of time playing here, there's no alternatives to it.
Its the community that makes it great. And it is we who can fix it. How? Ask 20 members, get 20 answers. But what we need to do is not backbite and declare the mod dead, be need to start to draw together a consensus. Decide what it is we *all* want (not just a simple few) and implement it. If not it all, as much as to please the greatest number of people. Many of what people want is not mutually exclusive.
TL;DR We need to come up with some kind of list of ideas. We all have them, lets hash out what would work
Im penniless, rotten in a fight, and have authority issues, but im back!
Right point.
I can tell that I came with .85 because, as I know, many people consider it's golden times of Disco.
I'm sure people miss those everyday raids and so on, just like the other positive aspects (like nearly no gauls around, lal).
People think that rolling back to another version will fix everything....you say you miss all the raids, an older version isn't gonna bring that back and saying it will, wont do anything, it doesn't happen anymore cuz people don't do it. Get people. Do it.
Rolling back wont make there suddenly be more people, or better RPers, or make people do more fun things.
Sorry it just annoys me when people say things like this....that was just me doing a small rant....
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I SAID, IT MATTERS WHAT I MEANT!!!!

I +1 this, its sad to say but Those time are gone, but if you really miss them, Bring them back now, do it again, organize events. You want to see a faction arround? Start it up. Im doing it with KSP Im trying to get some people who want to police around Kusari with the embargo it will be alot of fun. Make with what you have and be thankful for it.
