I know there are some guides out there, and I've taken a look at them, but I still can't seem to get Red Alert 1 to work on Vista! I used to run it on Windows 2000 without any problems, but now I can't see it with all of it's worse-than-my-phone's-resolution glory!
Can anyone help me make this amazing game work?
Thanks!

This link just explains how to make it work on XP.
Vista is quite different.
If you're running Vista 64 bit, don't bother. It won't run 16 bit games whatsoever. (I'm pretty sure RA1 is 16 bit)
Fooling around a bit with the OS's compatibility mode (Going into the CD file through explorer, right clicking on it, and selecting the windows 95 compatibility mode, and also Run As Admin)
I have Vista 32 bit, but I also have C&C: The First Decade, and have no problems running any of the games. Perhaps pick up a copy of The First Decade??
