Okay, so I have no modelling software, Or modelling Skills, but I recently thought that a cool addition to the Train class Transport for traders would be, "Wide Trains" sold wherever Adv. Trains are sold, they'd cost 385m,
have 230,000 Hull strength, 10k cargo and 800 Bots/Bats capacity.
Appearance would be like an Adv. Train, but the front section is much wider, and has Two "tails" of cars sticking off of it.
Also, this ship would actually only have Hitting area of the main segment, and All of the "Cars" would be destructible pieces which each sell for 5m a piece and can hold two Cargo Pods each, and that you'd have to have these cars attached to get Cargo space, each "car" would be able to withstand 50,000 hull damage, and be protected by the ship's shields, and you gain 625 cargo space for every cargo-pod you equip to the "cars"
you can only fit two pods to a car, and the pods would remain the same prices they already are.
When an attacker breaks your shields and shoots the pods, Like the NPC trains and Transports, the cargo in them would come spilling out.
And this addition would be available to ALL Train class transports, not just the Wide Train.
and you can fit as many Cars as you want onto the Train, but as you do, your engines will get slower.
No no no no no. There has to be a ship that is at the very highest limit of cargo capacity. At the moment, that's the advanced train, and it's cargo space is at a nice level.
I might support the creation of a variety of different (possibly game faction specific) transport vessels all with around the same cargo, and different individual advantages and disadvantages, but we dont need anything with drasticly more cargo space.
Most of the income for the server economy comes from Advanced Trains, and, suprise suprise, a big percentage of said income goes toward buying Bounty Hunter Battlecruisers.
More profits = more Bounty Hunter Battlecruisers = Angry Carlos
a real enhancement would be if the loaded cargo would add pods automaticly - and destroying the pods would destroy the cargo ... THAT is the only enhancement i can think of for the train.
