Is the blacklist functionality that's supposed to be impleneted actually functional yet?
Because last time I heard you couldn't just block certain groups/individuals from docking, and as one operator of what's supposed to be a mostly open station, I have a slight issue there...
I believe the new permanent base IFF system is an attempt to simplify these judgments, so a Zoner/Junker/Freelancer IFF base would be similar to a Freeport/Rochester/Barrier Gate and have fewer problems with great collaborative RP opportunities.
The issue arise when, without a blacklist system, a restricted-access, let's say DSE IFF base knowingly, manually adds LH~, LR- etc. And crackdowns peaked back in the day with various lolbases being supplied and protected by ships from a dozen different factions in order to obtain/attack anything.
This doesn't stop the unlawfuls from shaking down DSE for protection money or *ahem* a miner accidentally and unwillingly losing some ore in space once. I guess forumlancing or even some dialogue in space could skirt the issue a bit by roleplaying an inspection. Not a rhetorical question - are there any particular reasons why an enemy would need to dock and access the base in-game?

Do what GMG did and add as allowed tags names beginning with every single ASCII character except those that begin the faction tags of your enemies. If typing all of that's too much effort for you, maybe you're not ready for a base.

Yes, because clearly there can't possibly be an actual problem with such a workaround being necessary. Obviously the problem must just be that I'm lazy.
