Why is there no spam?

I think that in the days of old there used to be more spam on these forums. And it was fun. You cold post a dumb thread (such as this one) and receive dozens of replies in minutes. It made this community seem alive.

We need more spam!

A long time ago, The Staff™ set out on a crusade against, well, -flooding- Flood with a bunch of threads, making people post in other sections more.

It ended up kinda killing Flood.
