Shield Miss use

As with the Cussing situation, multiple players have brought to my attention that there is, once again shield miss use.

I.E Cruiser shields on Gunboats, Trains and the such.

Both Wolf and I have agreed that If your active in PVP on the server, then equipment should not be miss used, this is Cheating in my book, If your not happy with your shields, get a better capital ship.

All players will place the Correct shields on there capital class ships.

BS shields for battleships

Cruiser shields for Cruisers

Gunboat shields for Gunboats

And Train and Transport shields for Trains and transports.

If I get more PM's about Players changing there shields to attack other players they will be fined 5 Million Creditsand will have there shield replaced with the correct one.

Heh my Gunboat SkyShark has a Transport shield.

I'm doing the opposite. xD

It's very fun trying to fight in the borderworlds with a bunch of angry corsairs and a nomad BS patrol with an adv. Barrier shield, it's a good challenge.

I also use stock weps and a MKIII armor upgrade. It makes things way more interesting.

Clarification needed; the "Liner" class of vessels would fall under what, cruiser or transport?

My guess is train shield, since it is mainly a cargo vessal. But some call it a cruiser. Personally I think it should have its own class. The Liner shield thats kinda in between a GB and a Cr Shield. But thats up to Igiss to decide. And up to Angel to decide on either Transport, GB, or Cr shields if/until the Liner shield is made.

Couldn`t each of these classes have their own type of shield? I mean, just like freighters, HF,LF have their own shields which are compatible only on their assigned ship types. (hope you understand, my english is bad...). :$

i have made thread about liner shileds some time ago...based on answers there i mounted GB shiled on my liner (before i used normal transport)...and now u say that isnt good...
People make up your minds....this is getting really anoying....
And dont tell me liner is a transport just becouse it has 2600 cargo hold...it also has about 5,5 mill power plant....
in addition..in description on GB shileds there clearly says that that kind of shiled can be mounted on transport vessels....
i agree that BS and cruiser shileds are for those types of ships only...

So, it has a bigger powerplant....

Thats like saying i can put a 3 litre engine into my fiat punto and call it a BMW....

IMHO its a heavily armed transport.

And as to the shield... "Gunboat shield".... "Gunboat".... i dont see it saying "Transport" or "Liner" anywhere in its name, oh, but i do see a ship called a, wait for it... "Gunboat"

i dont mind...i just say: just like u did take its big cargo hold and call it transport...cause of its numbers of weps and big power plant, and its size and hull strenght i call is light cruiser...
