This is my first attempt to make SOMETHING FL related on Wings 3D (Kudos for Treewyrm who pointed it out, hopefully i can make something worthy) So indeed this is my first attempt, nothing too grand and actually...

I need help. The ship size is yet unknown so i would like some feedback and suggestions upon the class and such...bad thing is that i can only get the model done and adding everything else to it is still unknown to me...

the wireframed image looks good - the rest is horrible ( but not cause the model is bad, but cause your program uses a pretty nasty method to render the model ) - the general concept is nice .... but it appears to be too small.
furthermore, there does not appear to be any visible engine on the ship (yet ). - the pointy nose is something that is not really existing with freelancer ships - they all have a more rounded nose - so maybe you can cut the pointy bit and make it a bit blunt.

since the ship is build like a sandwich, - i would suggest to make the lower part of the hull narrower - and bend the upper part more downwards and make it wider, so that its overlapping the lower part:

the ring gives the ship a unique shape, which is good - the back of the ship ( the lower back ) might need "something" maybe the engines to create a balance between the massive front and the tiny back.

Heh heh indeed, its not done yet and i have already received feedback about the raped looking rearend. The ring..well...that was the first object i spawned into the program and decided to use it heh heh...doughnut.
