Discovery SP

hey.. to many this will seem as a stupid question, but my noobiness should be my excuse...
If i want to play the single player campaign in the mod, shd i just go and start a new game ??
[note - openSP is turned off ].
The reasons i wonder is, because i started it, and
1) I have just played the first two or three missions and its just the same as the vanilla version, except NPC ai, and the fact that they keep regenning... the stupid twats !
2) I set the start up money to 5,000,000 or whatevers the max but i still started with 2500 creds !!

Any help is appreciated...

First, you can't do anything about the enemies regenerating, it's in their code.

Second, while I can't help you with the 5,000,000 credit thing, I can tell you to mine silver in colorado and bring it back to NY. Do this until you have a good amount of money (I did it until I had at least a million). Make sure it's in a Rhino freighter too.

Yep that is about the best you can do, but if you reeealy want money just edit the character file with good ol IONCROSS Character editor.

i guess i ll use IONCROSS... because the only reason im playin the SP is to practise fighting and to check out what went on in the story, so that i can RP better...
Can anybody help me use ioncross ??
And i wanted to know if this is the SP single player...

When I played SP with the mod activated, everything seemed to be mostly the same. Of course you can use different and better ships then the default ones. But I dont think I can comment much about it. The one thing I have noticed is that setting the starting credits to a higher amount only takes affect with OpenSP on.

The events that happen in the SP campaign are the same whether Discovery is active or not. Things just get a lot tougher when Discovery is active, what with the changed weapon and ship stats and the regenerating NPC ships. Also, certain missions have a few bugs with disco on, particularly Mission 3.
