//Edit Thurs, 14th June: Rp going ahead with Kaz's approval.//
//Oorp: Thexare mentioned in his leaving notifier the following:
Thexare Wrote:The final decree of VR command is thus: The only people that have permission to revive this faction are myself, Kazinsal, or Dream Theater/atlantis2112.
We are adhering to that leaving wish – this is not an attempt to revive the VR. There will be no VR tagged ships flying around as a result of this RP. If VR ever returns, they’ll still have everything they left with. Rather, this is an attempt to perpetuate the N.O. autonomously, and utilise assets which are still Rp’ed frequently as being in existence for the sake of server continuity, gameplay, fun, profit, etc, in the spirit of fun complex Rp’s in general.//
“By the people, for the people. Gentlemen, when you vote for us, act like this is the last vote you will ever make, for, if your act rings true and we ascend the senatorial throne, you’ll never need ballot another.” (Some Garlic-scented thug, 821AS).
Abbreviation: N.O.M.A.P.P.s
Colloquialism:Noms
Party Ideology:Constitutional Monarchists aiming to reform the land ownership of the Natio Octavarium's twin systems into a planned-economy Commonwealth lauded over by the might of a singular, monolithic ruler disassociated from the Vagrant Raiders paramilitary organisation, which the party blames for the trickle-loss of nearly a hundred Natio Octavarium personal cumulatively in the progressive, N.A.T.O. driven skirmishes against in both the Gallic and Rheinlandic wars. The Noms also seek greater geopolitical autonomy from the Liberty Government, arguing that the people of New Caledonia cannot consider themselves truly emancipated otherwise.
Promised Foreign Policy:
Liberty:A gradual loosening before putting total autonomy to the vote, from any hypothetical ties that could in-future link the nation to the vastly geopolitically destructive Naval Alliance Treaty Organisation, but otherwise retaining positive relations, including the construction of a jump gate to the cosmically neighbouring but otherwise isolated Pennsylvania system. Trade relations are to be encouraged to negate the risk of possible annexation, as is the opening of Kansas to any viable foreign cruise contractors, such as represented by Orbital Spa.
Bretonia: Persistently amicable, mutually tolerant relations over access and utilisation of the Magellan and Cortez systems for the purpose of transit, as had previously remained existent. The party’s aim is to maintain semi-amiable relations with the Bretonian house despite the climb-down of any further Gallic interventionism, if only due to the fact that any government crafted by the N.O.M.A.P.P.s would closely mirror Bretonia’s own, both in political function and political effect.
Rheinland:The party argues that any further conflict with both the Rheinlandic state and the Rheinlandic person is drudgery undeserved by any of the nations involved. The state is its own and should not be degraded into a petty orgy of squabbling over land claims and governmental reform. Arguably, many of the liberties the Libertonians claim Rheinland denies its citizens are actually by-products of the very necessities of protracted warfare itself, and that the destruction of the connecting gate network was more than overtly sufficient catalyst for an amicable demise of the conflict. N.O.M.A.P.P. representative frequently hark back to the comparative geopolitical calm prevalent in Sirius predating the nomad war, discussing the inter-house unity that occurred at the time.
Gallia: Since the somewhat scorched-earth inspired destruction of the LD-14 MOX refinery in Leeds, Liberty has spent the last two years running on the proverbial empty; the house has been burning MOX stockpiles alone, with barely any replacement substitutes. This, quite naturally, reflects back onto the Natio Octavium, Liberty being their primary supplier of Hard-fuels and other fissionable materials.
The Natio contains a number of large ships which use MOX as a fusion catalyst; the VCS-Silent Man, and the famed ‘Metropolis’ spyglass two class tactical electronics warfare battleship, both of which will have their service lives cut irredeemably short if the proverbial well remains dry.
The most viable alternative is a total, complete retrofit of both vessels to the dirt cheap and inexpensive to fuel Fusion Cycle reactors that the Gallic house produces with such en-masse rapidity, that a fashionista would assume that they were going out of style, which would thus require a Royalist Provided Gallic Trading Permit as a matter of the proceedings.
The primary associated danger with normalising Gallic trade relations is the possible xenophobic backlash, not just from the citizens of the Natio itself, but the nations surrounding. A great many of the organisations the Natio is currently affiliated with may view the Natio as stepping away from their own rhetoric, or possibly even on the road to subjugation by a foreign agency. It is also the most electorally contentious point that the N.O.M.A.P.P.s have offered so far.
Kusari: The Monarchists have listed few present vested interests in Kusari, although cosmic distance is the most viable reason for this diffidence in laying out a committed relationship plan.

Trans-Human Citizenry: <This section appears to have been forcibly removed from the manifesto. Clearly, you’re not important to actually be in the know – after all, you’re just a constituent.><CENSORED>
The Junker Marauders:The N.O.M.A.P.P.s maintain a stringent mandate of permissive behaviour with regards to the Marauders, seeing them as both an exceptionally valuable trading partner in activities both above and below board. They seek to maintain the Marauder lease on ‘Seasons Base’, arguing that the Marauders make a far better job of maintaining the installation than the Raiders themselves ever did.
(Below, a view from high orbit of the planet that the Libertonian neural net perseveres in styling ‘Wichita’.)
Domestic Policy:
(Below, a view of new Vancouver in the mid-morning, as picturesque and as drizzle-rife as the city ever was).
In (N.O.'s particular) order of aspirations:
-To attain a smaller, more compact, more overtly efficient system of governance than those currently utilised by the Natio. Of course, the most expedient way of attaining this is merely to fire the existing heads of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Engineering, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Relations, the Ministry of Intelligence, the Ministry of Services and even the Ministry of Research and Development, arguing that all of the above can be provided both more expediently (and, most of all, inexpensively), by the extensive Libertonian private sector. Exactly what the party aims to save all those credits for is unknown.
- Tax cuts for both naturalised citizens and expatriates resident within New Caledonia and Victoria, for the benefit of the poles.
-Downsizing the Vagrant Raiders into a purely defensive role, as opposed to some errant pan-Sirius black ops organisation in the manner of which it currently operates.
- The honourable discharge of a certain Mr Harold Kane on the grounds of innumerable unsubstantiated slander-journalism and an intense hail of undemocratic libel, mostly based around repetitive abuse of his status to pirate both Gallic and Rheinlandic shipping.
- The placement of a monolithic head of state above an elected chamber of regional representatives, imitative of the Bretonian government minus any power-grabbing, traitorous prime ministers.
- Massively increasing the amount of paperwork it requires to lawfully shoot a citizen in public. Do it in your own homes
(Below, the symbol of Libertonian justice has barely evolved within the last eight centuries – besides, there’s something about the ‘look of the eagles’ that a certain political party admires…)
- Restricting the rights of those Natio Citizens so capably qualified from being able to trade, exchange and study Daam’k’vosh artefacts after several centuries of permissive behaviour regarding their collection is an unscrupulous infraction of the individual evocative of the most pernicious qualities of the Nomad War. Citizens should not be restrained from active participation in the artefact trade, if the said items are appropriately contained both during transit and the offloading process. Remember: a vote for the Monarchists is a vote for artistic freedom.
- Raising of the minimal permissive unaccompanied vessel piloting age from seventeen to eighteen, to decrease insurance expenditures and promote family values. - Schools, colleges, universities and other educational establishments suspected to be encouraging extremist discordianist fundamentalism will be handed over to our neighbours in Homeland Security. - Gallic corporations, neutral traders and third parties will no longer be repulsed from our borders do to some pithy, snivelling, Francophobia delusion the previous regime seemed to clutch to their bosoms, and will rather be welcomed and treated with equal, courteous respect to any other Sirian.
Fleet Com/Aerospace Command – Raider Legislature Adaption:
The primary guard force of the Citizens of New Caledonia is the pseudo-military order, the ‘Vagrant Raiders’, an organisation equally at home to guerrilla warfare and commerce raiding as they are peacetime combined fleet operations. However, it has become ever-pervasively aware to both the Natio, the Monarchists and the Sirian community at large that the Raider movement was spawned from (and remains a front for) protracted, organised piracy.
With the direct withdrawal of the Natio Octavarium’s stellar assets towards work on sub-orbital projects within the recent months, no area has been under greater scrutiny than small aerospace, both pilots and contractors accused of near-traitorous levels of situational foul-play.
(Below, A Grunder Industries F-T54e6 ‘Bearhawk’ Ground support/hypersonic troop transport aircraft bores through the skies over Fraser. If New Westminster was ever invaded, it would be up to pilots like that of the bearhawk pictured to defend the Natio’s Citizens from occupation by desolating the relevant planetary landing zones.)
The citizens of the nation require the best. This a meritocracy, built upon the success of merit. We need not a sizable horde to protect us, but a stringent, smaller task-force built upon reasoned tactical doctrines as opposed to mere mercenary impulse, with a rigid command and control structure, as opposed to generals renowned for their psychological dependency to a particular synth product of choice whist on the job. These are the men and women the people have received, but not what they deserve.
The obvious solution is to downsize, and cut the superfluous. All services will be united into a singular, defensively minded agency, as opposed to the buccaneering spirit exhibited by our forefathers.
The Natio may have been built upon the backs of the Raiders, but we, the citizens, are not, in fact, Raiders, nor are we particularly Vagrant. We’d do well to memorise this detail.
Re-Allocation of Natio Octavarium fleet assets:
- On the supposed precept that we actually do prevail in the electoral hustings, alternate cooperate subdivisions will be acquired to flesh out the role provided by Aquila Defence Systems and Grunder Industries, to perpetuate the longevity of our presently existing craft.
(Below, A.D.S.’s New West Clyde Munitions factory produces Nova torpedoes with great rapidity to subsidise N.O. aerospace requirements.)
(Below, the VCS Metropolis, in all her archaic glory).
-The ‘Metropolis’, the original home of the Raiders and first flag ship of the Natio Octavarium, is a fine vessel, her generationally decrepit spyglass scanners still stridently ahead of those fielded by the majority of line warships in the present day. However, a single tactical battleship amongst possible armadas of strike craft provides little utility except national prestige, and remains a highly expensive to maintain gesture of futility in the absence of an operable shipyard. She is a dear quandary to babysit.
Either a utility must be found for the warship or she will be scrapped and sold for the value of her constituent components, in accordance to the pre-ordained decommissioning process. The Monarchy finds her external to any desirable fleet requirements at the present day.

Controversy:
The Monarchist Party merrily accepts the existence of rumours that our movement may – or may not – be accepting third party funds from outside the influence and direct criminal jurisdiction of the Natio itself to the purpose of some facsimile, Illuminati-grade trans-sector conspiracy theory. This (as I am sure you’ll agree, dear constituent), is transparent slander, as proven time and time again by the outcomes of all those bizarre inquests an innumerable number of questionably unpatriotic socially-neutered ethical Neanderthals struggled to mire us in. Yet, we remain aloof, and merely retort the query with another:
How can the presently malignantly prevalent plutocrats of the Meritocratical Populist Party accuse the people’s true front of traitorous financial misdemeanours, when the majority of their economic clout comes from protracted acts of common highway robbery; acts which are near-indistinguishably interlaced with that of the very dictatorial, ultra-capitalistic dystopian state that we have struggled so arduously to schism ourselves away from. It is an unjust state that finds a profit in blood, far from the very beacon of freedom that we strive hour upon hour to represent ourselves as.
Citizen, the future is yours, is ours. Do not let the beacon fade before the dictums of lesser men.
