The ancestors of Zulu were citizens of a small faction which struggled to keep neutrality in the war that led to the launch of the sleeper ships. Shortly before the catastrophe, which almost caused the complete annhilation of their creed, they were able to join the Liberty regugees through false identity.
Upholding the traditions of impartiality and unprepossessdness, they worked as unalligned freelancers inbetween the Sirius factions for centuries.
However, after an incident in Sigma 19 in which Zulu originally assisted Outcast pilots in distress from Harvester attack, the position of neutrality was changed by necessity. The following temporary toleration by the Outcasts in Omicron Alpha led to a glimpse into their darkest motives underneath their already nefarious activities, which were previously seen as a desperate struggle for survival after the Hispania tragedy.
His following investigations into the northern Omicrons were met by Outcast attacks, which culminated into a hostage situation in Tau 37 under the siege of the Outcasts and their cronies. Here, the captured Outcast pilot Maria Consuella de la Fuente changed sides in an alleged case of Stockholm syndrom. In an insidious ruse, the Outcasts lured Zulu and Maria out of their hideout using a fake harvester identity and pitiful fake combat chatter. Barely escaping the onslaught, the two were rescued by valliant Colonial Remnant aces in Tau 23 and given refuge.
Since that day, Zulu has worked in the ranks of the Colonial Remnants to stop the history of greed and madness from repeating itself in the Sirius sector.
