Recently people complained about the peace that sets over Sirius. We hate peace. Peace is for pussies. We need krieg, banzai and whatever... So, here're 2 ideas for events in Kusari. The same format could apply in all the houses. If devs agree and these events could be supervised by admins, we could even use them to set the stage for changes in the future patches.
Where?
Different locations each week, based on the outcome of the previous battle.
When?
No idea. This will be discussed with leaders of the official (or unofficial groups if we don't have official representation) factions.
Who?
Every faction in Kusari (and maybe others if the factions agree)
You will be fighting for space sectors! It will be a 3 out of 3 way of winning a sector. Let's run a simulation of the first proposed event.
SIMULATION STARTED
Okinawa system, sector 5D
KNF forces receive word of a BD base somewhere in the northern part of the system. Not knowing the exact location, they send in a wing of KSP scouts to investigate. The wing is intercepted by a patrol of GC and this is our first fight:
KSP side
1 GB, 2 VHF, 3 HF/LF
GC side
1 GB, 2 VHF, 3 HF/LF
Result: KSP 1 - 0 GC
KSP scores a victory but the GC gets backup from the BD. Seeing this, the KSP calls in for the KNF guns. Second battle starts:
KNF + KSP
1 BS, 2 Cruisers / Battlecruisers, 1 GB, 4 VHF OR 1 bomber (they get to chose as bonus for winning the first battle)
BD + GC
1 BS, 2 Cruisers, 1 GB, 4 VHF
Result: KNF, KSP 1 - 1 BD, GC
After winning the battle, the BD and GC press on to finish the expeditionary fleet. They engage the remaining battleships.
KNF + KSP
2 BS, 2 Cruisers / Battlecruisers, 4 fighters of choice (no bombers)
BD + GC
1 BS, 3 Cruisers, 1 GB, 2 VHF + 2 VHF or 1 Bomber (they get to chose as bonus for winning the second battle)
Result: KNF, KSP 2 - 1 BD, GC
The KNF is victorious and they secured the sector. Their fleet moves to the next one.
Rules:
To start a new campaign, your faction will have to control at least one base there. If a faction owns no base in the system it has 2 options:
1. It will set a field HQ in the sector that contains a JH / JG (only the lawful side) from a system that has a base of the said faction.
2.
a) Primary faction sets HQ on secondary faction installation. Cards distribution: 6 primary + 2 secondary;
b) Primary faction sets HQ on primary non-HQ installation. Cards distribution: 4 primary + 4 primary';
c) Primary faction sets HQ on primary HQ installation. Cards distribution: 6 primary + 2 primary'.
The rest of the cards will be deployed in nearby sectors on turn based movements till you encounter a sector occupied by enemy cards. There's a limit of 4 cards per sector.
If one of your occupied sectors looses connection with the HQ, you will not be able to use the ships in the said sector and if the enemy attacks, you'll lose them.
There is no fog of war for cards movement but there is one for cards type!
Each sector generates income for the faction that controls it and has it linked to their HQ.
Empty sectors will generate 100.000 credits/week (minimum)
Sectors with inhabited planets will generate 5.000.000/week (maximum)
Income is generated as long as there's a Campaign going on in the system and there is active fighting going on.
So, let's run a simulation and see how I imagined this.
SIMULATION
Turn 0 BD sets HQ on Hikone.
They use 8 cards (2 BS, 1 Cruiser, 1 GB, 4 Fighters)
KNF responds and sets HQ on Osaka Storage Facility.
Because Osaka is owned by Samura, KNF will have to include at least 2 Samura cards cards in their pack. KNF uses 6 cards (1 BS, 2 BC, 3 Fighters)
KSP sets HQ on Akita Border Station.
They use 8 cards (2 destroyers, 1 GB, 4 Fighters, 1 Bomber)
FA sets HQ on Kamisu Base.
They use 8 cards (2 Gunboats, 4 Fighters, 2 Bombers)
Turn 1 BD sends 4 cards in sector 7D.
They use 1 Cruiser, 2 Fighters, 1 Bomber
KNF sends 2 cards in sector 7D.
They use 2 fighters.
Samura sends 2 cards in sector 7D.
They use 2 GB.
GC sends 4 cards in sector 4D.
They use 4 fighters.
KSP sends 4 cards in sector 5E.
They use 2 GB, 2 Fighters.
FA doesn't make a move.
So, here's how the map looks after the first turns 0 (HQ setup) and 1:
I personally like the second idea more because of its complexity and the fact that people will have to think a little bit more strategic than just log in a start shooting all over the place.
So, I'd like to see some opinions but most of all, I'd like to get some feedback from members of the official/or not factions that I included in these war games.

I don't understand. Could you elaborate or give an example?
