For a faction who's lore describes it as a faction that makes use of the gas clouds to perform guerrilla warfare upon it's foes, it's quite embarrassing how their snubs can get messed around quite easily via explosive pockets of gas.
GMG doesn't have capital ships to overcome this. Spamming Gunboats is an alternative, but it's not a cool alternative.
So how about the GMG ID gets an immunity to explosive gas pockets? It seems silly that they're not dominant in their own element.
Junker ID should totally be seeing scrap metal dropped from destroyed ships.
Ageira, Interspace and Hacker IDs should totaly have the scanner thing.
And Miltary IDs should do twice the damage, because they are the fricking militaries.
Alright. I am kidding. No IDs should get such gameplay features that would force devs to sweat in trying to figure out how to implement it and balance it.
I am not certain if technical limitations could prevent this from happening, but I have been surprised by possibilities/results you can get from experimenting quite a lot.
In any case, I like this idea and it would encourage GMG to use gas pockets for their advantage within gameplay, and not just in lore.
They can get their "immunity" by going to train everyday in that famed Gas cloud guerrilla warfare. Having the pilots being the most proficient in battling in their home territory is the only advantage they need.
